Greg Pugh Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 Thank you! I just ordered a new spray booth so I'm forcing myself to wait until that shows up to paint it.
oldnslow Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Ready to paint yet? Like how this is coming together.
tbill Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 glad to see this getting bench time again, looks really cool. how do you like that booth so far?
Greg Pugh Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 Love it! No wait....LOVE it!! I got it yesterday and I used it last night and also this afternoon! Thanks again for taking the time to give me your thoughts and opinions on yours!!
Greg Pugh Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 After a VERY busy summer, things are finally winding down and I should now be able to spend more time at the desk. After spending the day yesterday cleaning and reorganizing my work space, I was able to spend some time today getting some work done on the Vette. I got the dash all finished up and the body BMF'd so it's now ready for clear coat.
ProStreetOnTheStrip Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Wow, Years in the making, Looks Real Good!
horsepower Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Looks good, I like the choice of color, looking forward to the final assembly.
Greg Pugh Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) I got the interior sprayed today. I was originally going to paint it Flat Red. I had it in the bottle, ready to spray, and at the last moment, I thought it looked too bright. So I added some Dark Red and a touch of Black and ended up with this color. I think it'll look much better against the Dark Gray. I plan on knocking the sheen down a bit. Then, just need to flock and add a small amount of foiling and it'll be ready to rock. Sometimes, I really dig simple interiors. Lol Edited October 15, 2015 by gpugh1976
Helper Monkey Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I like it. I am working on the same kit I believe. Going bone stock on mine however. I did so much work on the body it was not even funny. Of course I was trying to make mine with hinged doors.
Greg Pugh Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 Distributor installed, aftermarket coil painted and attached, plug wires run in correct firing order, transmission painted, and engine installed.
bill_67 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Beautiful build all the colours look fantastic, looking forward to seeing it done.
Greg Pugh Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) Got the door panels finished up this afternoon. Edited November 11, 2015 by gpugh1976
Modlbldr Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Man, this has really been a labor of love. Great to see you back to work on it. It is coming out fantastic. Keep it up.Later-
horsepower Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Got the door panels finished up this afternoon. Got the door panels finished up this afternoon. funny, when I saw the color of the body I was thinking that an oxblood interior would really add some class, reminds me of a Mercedes combination. But I think I would have done something about the old cast iron powerglide transmission.

But I think I would have done something about the old cast iron powerglide transmission.I probably should have but at the last minute, I figured I already had plenty going on and it was sure nice to have this engine/trans combo fit so nicely in it's frame. Lol
Greg Pugh Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 (edited) I got the interior finished up this afternoon. The dash attaches to the body rather than the tub so that's why you're not seeing the dash (in case you were wondering...lol). The carpet is actually much closer in color to the seats than what this picture shows. The lighting musta been weird. Edited October 27, 2015 by gpugh1976
Greg Pugh Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 I also started fiddling around with the exhaust today but ran out of time. Hoping to have it dialed in soon.
