Whoo hoo!

I have finished my first model.

After being stripped a couple of times, running out of paint and having to wait, it is finished and i am fairly happy with it.

This is my first attempt at airbrushing, bare metal foil and building a styrene model in general.

C & C welcome.

Started a Photobucket account today, so I can easily share pics.

Thank you.

It's my first finished, I have 4 others on the go. I got the paints I was waiting on yesterday, so I can look at finishing some of these as well.

I am not new to modelling, I have painted miniatures and made scenery for years.

I have made lots of paper models of various things, but decided this year to get into car models, purchasing an airbrush, and various supplies as well as a few kits on our holiday in September/October.

I learnt so much working on them, including BMF is fun!

They have all been stripped at least once. as I am working out how to airbrush and have a much better handle on it now. The whole paint thinning/pressure/distance from model is coming together and can only improve:-)

What I want to do is have a go at weathering, but thought I should be able to build straight from the box first, so my first few will be done that way.

The wood is done with Citadel colours and washes, great easy effects.

I copied the colour scheme from the box, just looked cool.

How did you post that?

I searched the forum and couldn't find instructions, I probably used the wrong search terms.

Yea man, I have to agree with everyone so far. That is a beautiful clean build for your first one!! You did a fantastic job! You got a hold of that BMF too. Very nice craftsmanship. I look forward to seeing more of your work!! Love the weathering on the wood.

Ok.....seriously. That's a nice looking model. Especially for a first effort. I'd say you've got a nitch for it and I'll be looking forward to seeing more builds from you. Nice work!!

great job for your first !:24!

your history with minitures and scenery shows in your craftsmanship. the foil looks good and the wash really sets those bed rails off.

You nailed it mate!

Obviously you have a talent for this. I guess I speak for all of us here when I say we hope to see more of your builds.

BMF is strangely rewarding, isn't it? Looks like you got the hang of it already.

Nice one
