Now don't for one second think I've got a problem with something selling for every penney it can get, ok. But there's a Kit that ends tuesday that's at $577 as I write this. And it's been started.

What I find most curious is there has been a F/S kit with a buy it now price of $250 up for several days now. What I'm wondering is why hasn't one of the 4 active bidders grabbed up the less than 1/2 of what they're bidding. Could they be filtering so tightly that they don't see the other kit???

I do enjoy watching the bidding Wars, but this one has me stumped :huh::blink::huh:

Insane, that's all I can say. I wonder what happens when the auction has ended and the dust settles. I payed how much for what? I'd be curious to see if that's relisted due to non paying bidder. Ken

Wives said they have to sell them! "Sorry Dear! I listed them for 10 days and didn't get a bid!"

The kit that is 250 Buy it now is listed with the promo's. That will limit how many see it.

That's what I ment by filtering too tightly. I do my 'bay checks using "Toys & Hobbies > Models & Kits" because I get all the subgroups by not being too specific. Those folks may be looking under one of the many sub groups. Or They're just Nuts :lol:

Ed, thanks for the offer, i KNOW your good for it! But if I wanted to get rid of it, it LOOKS like some foo out there might give me a coupla hunert for it! It would serve them right! I DO kinda wonder WHAT kinda excuse he'd give the missus for it though. Heck if he can spend 600 bucks for a model, shoot, he AIN'T married!!!!  ;)^_^

The $250 seller only ships within the US, the $600 seller ships worldwide.

My question is "Will the buyer build it?" or sit on it. I can't believe this kit will ever be worth more then the $700 or so he paid for it.

Exactly. Maybe the buyer only wants a sealed kit which has never been opened. Maybe the buyer lives in North Pole, Alaska, and there are no shows, swap meets, nor hobby shops remotely close to him/her. Not everyone has the same access to our hobby.
