trogdor
Rick....sit down and eat a sweet rack..You Earned it!!! Those turned out great!!! Are those the inner fenders ?? Yes Peter took it upon himself to make those. Now if I could just get modelhaus to answer my e-mail about tires and wheels I'd be happy

Mike Kucaba
"Now if I could just get modelhaus to answer my e-mail about tires and wheels" You could always use photo-etch wires and aluminum rims, and tires shouldn't be that hard to source. Greg Wann
That is very cool. I do like Buicks.
Ken Kitchen
I love the old concept cars too and when I saw that the front clip was available I contacted Peter and got a few copies for me. There is a significant amount of work in converting the Corvette body to look like the Buick but the most intimidating part for me is the grille. I think I may have solve that though. Here are pics of what I came up with. This is a multi piece unit. The "whiskers" are separate. I've pinned them on with a piece of brass wire for the photo. The still need to be blended in and finished. The center area is very thin resin and could be easily removed it you want an open grille. The center bar is also separate. I've gotten a lot of work done on the back half as well I just don't have pics yet.

uncle potts
I know that projects can stall and life gets in the way, but has there been any progress since June? I would love to see how this project has progressed, if you've been able. If not I understand, I've been away from the bench since may, due to summer activities, and then ahome improvement project forced upon me by a broken water pipe inside a wall in my house. Can you update us please?
trogdor
Sorry no updates. I'll be getting back to it soon. Family health issues and work have taken most of my time but I haven't given up.

brewsterg6
Hey Rick... I also found this early photo of the Wildcat. Check out the hubs. It looks like they don't turn, and act as a scoop for the brakes...
Austin T
Maybe a little over a year but I'd hate to see this one just die. Any new updates?
