JB_Hobbies Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Started as a AMT gremlin modified, with a lot of reworking. That chassis was a real pain...not to mention EVERYTHING had sink marks! Built as a slightly ran car.
jasoncamaro Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Looks just like it rolled straight off the track looks awsome i like the weathering job it looks very convincing
Dr. Cranky Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 The weathering is spot on. Great job. I like it.
trogdor Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Very convincing weathering. Some constructive criticism if you don't mind, the air cleaner and differential look too clean and shiny. Everything else looks so perfect they stick out.
James2 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Nicely done. It's all in the details, sn't it.
Foxer Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Everything's been said, but again, very cool and that thing has surly been around the track!
Floridian Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Great looking model! Did you make the coil springs yourself?
JB_Hobbies Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 Yeah, I machined those specially for that build, I do however offer a pair of functional coil overs, along with a host of other products in my product line! Thanks everyone for the kind words. JB
Badluck 13 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Such a cool finished product!!!!,Awesome,Awesome job!!!!
roadhawg Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 That looks great! I been working on a dirt modified myself, using this same chassis as a base. This really motivates me to finish it up! Might have to check out those coilovers you mention.
W-409 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 What body is that? Is it Resin? Needs to get one Dirt Modified to my bench too... Very nice build on interesting subject. Great weathering all over, and that air cleaner, someone mentioned already, doesn't matter me. Great job all around, thanks for sharing this one.
dimaxion Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I wish I could see more than the chassis . is this a Mo Par or an AMC . The oil pan , intake , front of the engine look to be AMC ?
promo55 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Neat car, unusual body! Is that the old AMT Craftsmen promo body?

Neat car, unusual body! Is that the old AMT Craftsmen promo body? We'll call it an AMC motor, in reality, it's a SB mopar, w/ chevy valve covers....(didn't feel like machining valve covers) Also, it's a resin body, that I got off of ebay about a year ago. here's a few more shots
Chuck Most Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I can vouch for that Gremlin modified chassis being a little bit hard to handle, but it looks like you did a fantastic job with it.
rmvw guy Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Great job! I love the tire stagger, it looks about right. You've got a winner!
jdcar32 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 This one really has the look, a Saturday night bull ring survivor! Love the out of the ordinary body choice. Very kool.
hotrod59f100 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) Cool racer . Where did you get the rear right tire from? Edited June 2, 2012 by hotrod59f100
