Nick Winter Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 My '58 Sport Coupe, not quite done, but hopefully by the end of this month. Have some time off coming to me soon. Nick
Dave Van Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Revell 58 with Modelhaus wheels and parts box tail lights. Where were you in 62!!!!
W-409 Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I've built one '58, few years ago, Revell Lowrider kit with few modifications, bit like Taildragger Style... And here's a picture of my dad's '59 Impala, he built in 2010.
Dominik Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) oh man, this 59 Impala is a beauty ...that i am embarrassing, to show my 59er. But - hey - no risk, no fun. Everybody began one day modeling. Here are my old (very old) builts. looooong time ago, i restored this convertible... ...in this little beauty... ...a cople years ago. One day, i bought a completely built HT-Coupe: These are my three 59 Impala. One of them i have in the shelf for parts. Hold on for my beloved 58 Impalas... Edited January 20, 2012 by Dominik
Ramfins59 Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 This is my '58 Impala, using the Revell kit (love all that separate chrome trim). I built it as I remember the car that first lit the car loving fire in me when I was 13. At that time (1960) a guy who lived in the same apartment bldg. as I did, (in The Bronx, NY) would park this car at the curb in front of the house every day... and I drooled over it every day too.
Dominik Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Her we go - my favorite Chevy ever! He has style, a beautiful line, a heavy looking front...i love it! Wished, i had one to drive... Her is my first build 58, restored in 2007: followed from a junker... and one stock built... and at last ( i know, its a delivery) my first resinkit Thanks for your patience
bbowser Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Here's my '58. I'm doing all the Impalas from '58 up through that I can find kits for. Saving the '59 for last as it's my favorite. The first family car I remember was Dad's '58 Impala convertible. It was a late-model when he got it. He took us to McDonalds the first night we had it (golden arches, walk up to the window, over 100,000 sold!). I spilled a vanilla shake down the rear seat speaker (I was 5 or 6). He was not impressed!
Mazdat Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Here's an old build that I built back in 95-96, came out on Lowrider Bicycle Magazine in the Summer 97 issue, the interior and suspension getting redone.
Guest Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Some nice work here! Here is my Revell 59. Built back when the kit was first released, 93 or 94, I forget which.

bbowser Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Nick, I'm quite impressed , you've come a long way sir . Ed Shaver X2 Nick. I think this is why you hang on to old builds, so you can judge how far you've come. Great job on the latest!
Nick Winter Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Bruce it's the major reason why I've kept and displayed that oldie all these years, as a reminder, thanks. Nick
MrObsessive Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Y'all have seen this a number of times over the years...........so here it is again...... Hard to believe I built this car back in 2001! In fact, I have every model Impala from '58-'68 (although I don't have a '66), this is the only one I have so far that's built.
