Well, there are two Rambler Wagons for 1960. The Rambler Cross Country Wagon, which is very similar to the Jo-Han '59, and the Rambler American Wagon, which indeed has slight Nomad overtones if you stretch your imagination towards bursting point.

I'm sorry but it is a shame that they ruined that nice looking little Nash Rambler like that!

Well, you must remember, it was hard to get that thing "out of second gear!"

P- M Chuck Most . he did a panel truck version of the Rambler American as a Pro street car . I forget who does that body in resin . The seats can be sourced from an A M T 1925 Ford Model T kit . Ed Shaver

"Beep beep, his horn went beep beep beep." I'm plenty old enough to remember it as well, along with "Hot Rod Lincoln" by Commander Cody and The Lost Airmen.

Ride on, Josephine.

Well, Josephine drivin' a hot rod Ford

Twin carburator will eat up the road

Twin exhaust stickin' out the rear

Somethin' that will really take away from here...

Have we now derailed the thread far enough?

What about a '60 Rambler American kit? Does any resin caster make one?

Well I started converting a Nomad into Ferrambo, here is where I'm at now. (Sorry for the blurry pics, the camera is dead so I had to take them with my Ipod)

This is one fantastic project. The 1:1 vehicle is outasite ! Enjoyed the build fotos - saved them all. Sometime ago I bought a "Hotwheels" style model of a 60 Rambler wagon. It has white on bronze paint and little Crager style wheels. However there is no name on the chassis plate. Would be a neat conversion the the Ferrambo.

Those are both great! My mother bought a little light green Rambler American wagon just like it when I was about 7th or 8th grade. I was always a little embarrassed by our "little pig" until I started driving her in high school and realized what those reclining seats could do at the Drive-In. The "pig" was virtually indestructible and that 2nd gear overdrive with the ugly flathead could just wind and wind. I'd love to have one again to make into a mild street rod with a/c and a little power. :)
