Chuck Most
This is a what-if phantom, based loosely on prototypes built by Hudson in 1948 and a few homemade versions. All of the chrome trim and ornaments were removed, the remaining plated pieces were stripped and sprayed in Argent paint, and the engine was down-graded to a single carb mill. The bed is from a '41 Chevy. Basically, my take on what a '53 Hudson production pickup may have looked like done as a base model. Harry P.
Chuck, that is just too cool! Nicely done, as usual. BTW... I say you post this in the car "Under Glass" section, too. This needs to be seen by as many people as possible.

crazyjim
Would that be a Hudamino? Nice concept and build.
Dr. Cranky
I agree with Harry, builds like this one deserve as much attention as they can get. Great job, Chuck, and I'm trying to pin down what color that is. Where is it from?
bbowser
Cool! I like the single carb setup, bare bones utility and economy. Great idea and execution.
Ramfins59
Fantastic idea and great build Chuck. It always amazes me how many ways builders will modify a new kit as soon as it comes out. I bought one of these Hudsons and it is "in the To-Do pile". I'm thinking of making mine a Custom.... Down the road along with dozens of others as always. Chuck Most
I agree with Harry, builds like this one deserve as much attention as they can get. Great job, Chuck, and I'm trying to pin down what color that is. Where is it from? Ah... right! The color is Krylon Hunter Green, straight out of the rattle can. Slick, exotic stuff, that Krylon. Shardik
Very well thought out and extremely well executed. I could easily be persuaded that this was a production model. Now who's gonna do the tow truck version?

Chuck Most
Chuck, nice work. I'd like to see a photo of the rear of the cruck (car-truck) thanks.. This is the factory-built prototype- A few were also built by private individuals, and a few Hudson dealers built or had them built as parts runners.
