very nice! Dark colors can be difficult to pull off but you did a great job! great detailing on the engine and the lowered look with the big brakes/wheels is killer.

The paint on that looks very nice. The extra details on the engine are great too. I would try to wash the windshield a bit though, I can see a some finger prints - they stand out on such a smooth, shiny body.

You know you don't see a lot of monochromatic builds these days. From a hot rodding perspective that sorta thing died a decade ago. But you sure proved here that it can still be done with some contemporary styling and be cool as heck. Well done.

Eelco,

Essentially a 0.030-over 350 with a 3.750-inch stroke, the 383's extra cubic inches are almost free when compared to the cost of retaining a stock 3.480-inch stroke. Gone are the days of digging up a 400 crank out of the junkyard and grinding down the mains to fit inside a 350 block. The 3.750-inch stroke small-block Chevy crank, whether cast or forged, is one of the most popular aftermarket cranks ever produced. Furthermore, the relatively short stroke allows fitment of rods up to 6.125 inches while still retaining 1.000-inch of compression height with a standard 9.000-inch deck height. "The rod bolts will hit the cam whenever duration exceeds about 220 degrees at 0.050 lift, but a small base-circle cam eliminates that problem," explains Judson Massingill of the School of Automotive Machinists. "Other than that, when using an aftermarket oil pan, the only other clearancing required is some minor grinding at the bottom of the cylinders when using a factory block."

thanks for the info Brett

i kinda sorta knew that (come to think of it, i saw a buddy of mine do the grinding of the cylinders once on the 350 he was building for his blazer

i was more poking the bear then being serious, seeing how mopar makes a 383 big block, from the factory

I was thinking about finding a Nova to build but after seeing this I think I would be embarrassed to build one. This car is awesome and the more I look at it the better it gets.
