Psychographic Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 This was a build for a member on another site. A few mods include the spikes on the dash, the front door speaker pods, the subs, rear door panel monitors, opened trunk, Ross Gibson engine, the Grim Reaper on the dash, complete with sickle and some others.
stewart Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Very nice. Can you post some pictures of the engine? STewart
Dr. Cranky Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Love the color and the interior really POPS. Very nice model. Doesn't this kit come with the Elvira figure? I think you've got yourself a very cool model there. Thanks for sharing.
Psychographic Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 I don't remember what the leopard print decals were from, they came with the kit from the owner. A pic of the engine. I tried everything to put the aircleaners on the carbs, there just isn't enough clearance under the hood for them. As it is, I shaved the base of the carbs and the intake just to get it to fit as you see it. This kit did not come with a figure, the owner did send a resin one for me to paint.
Harry P. Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Very nice... the black paint looks fantastic. Yep... you really need an Elvira figure to finish this one off...
kruleworld Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 i've been meaning to do some corrections on my own elvira macbremobile, as the revell decals for the seats is tan and black, instead of white and black as Psychographic has done. oh, you just need to plate to finish it off. (if i remember correctly, it's california "KICKASS").
rv1963 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 I haven't seen this kit in years good work all around love the interior.
1zebra3 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Bought this one at a swap meet & was missing figure and (decals?) Got it really cheap so bought a resin Elvira (cost more than the kit) still need to get after market decals. Are they still available? NICE BUILD!
Drgon63 Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 really nice job ... Elvira would be proud... for a kit that was at best sub par you nailed it.... really nice....
outlaw035 Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 very "KQQL"....only thing missing is "E" and her 2 girls....
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Kewl interior and details. I assume no scale leopards were harmed during the making of this model. The actual sunlight makes the car look really great too. Photographed with an exterior background, it would look 1:1 at first and second glance.
jaydar Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I have that one in the pile. I just hope it comes out nearly so well! Great build. Joe.
CemetaryAngel81 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 very "KQQL"....only thing missing is "E" and her 2 girls.... Haha I second this,Nice job bro.
jcbigpaw Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Nice work. I've been wanting one of these but they go for too much on eBay. I'll snatch one up some time. Keep up the good work. Gonna save these pics for future reference if you don't mind.
jcbigpaw Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Does that kit come with the trunk and doors open or did you do that?
Edsel-Dan Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) That OLD Monogram 1/24 scale 58 T-Bird has always had the opening Doors & hood. Psychographic said he cut the trunk pen himself. I have the First Elvira issue. No Figure in that one Don't remember the Leopard print decals for the interior either. Edited June 24, 2012 by Edsel-Dan

Brian_B Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Hey Dave ,check out the Counting Cars show that was on today 8/28/12 I just saw that show last night. They redid her car. She looks good for 60. Of course the dark glasses as herself helped. I saw Casandra Peterson in person around 87 or 88.
