Italianhorses Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Well, the GTO is done...It was a challenging build for me and I'm sure glad it is finished. Quite a bit of "firsts" for me, opening doors, trunk, removable wheels, working knock-offs...Trying to put it all together without screwing up was really something! Thanks for looking! Alex 1
BIGTRUCK Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Wow........that is the niceset 250 I ever seen...the interior is super...its an awesome build...I love it Alex,,
crispy Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Alex, not enough words in the English dictionary or the thesaurus to describe what I am looking at. However, on that note, I would like to add that the wheel weights are what set this car off for me. You attention to detail is remarkable! Thank You for sharing this build with us! Chris
Jairus Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Wow Alex... you should write for a magazine or sumptin!
Italianhorses Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 Wow Alex... you should write for a magazine or sumptin! Ya think? LOL! Thanks guys, I really appreciate it! Alex
ismaelg Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Alex, I had seen some of the in-progress pictures of your work on this project. To say it is inspiring is an understatement. As a Ferrari lover myself: THANK YOU! Can't come up with any other words....
MonoPed Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 As I said on the HH board: This is the finest model I have seen. Not to knock Mark Jones, Bill Geary, Jim Drew, and others, but this one just "does it" for me. very fine work!!
MrObsessive Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! That is the best series II GTO I have ever seen!..............and the way you did those doors is absolutely perfect!! OUTSTANDING!!
Lyle Willits Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Okay, so you drive the car onto a beach, rake away the tire tracks and take pictures. Then you expect us to believe that it's a small plastic model. We are not just average idiots, ya know. We are highly knowledgable idiots! I'm not into foreign cars at all, BUT THIS IS ONE INCREDIBLE KILLER MODEL!!!!
bulldog Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 8) alex incredible build, all your efort was well worth the results. again, awesome !!!!!
Peter Lombardo Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 I just had a chance to open your posting today, yes, I am a little late, but I couldn't believe my eyes. That is absolutely the best smaller scale (less then 1/12) Ferrari I have ever seen. Bar none. It is perfect. Over the years I have been impressed with your work in the magazines, but this car is truly gorgeous. The rest of us can only marval at this kind of talent. Ferrari's and Jaguar's...there's something about Ferrari's and Jag's. Beautiful build.
