roadhawg
I thought I'd try building a mild custom for a change. This is Revell's '48 Ford coupe, built about 90% out of the box. Instead of the Flathead, which IMHO is slowly becoming too "trendy", I decided on a Nailhead Buick out of the parts box. Wheels and caps/bands are from the '32 5-window. The biggest issue I had was getting it low enough...I still would like the rear to be lower, but that would require major surgery! Headlights are frenched in, and taillight bezels are made from aluminum tubing. Paint is GM Chevy Trailblazer touch up paint purchased for $1.00 at a yard sale awhile back. Interior is red and ivory. Steven7319
That is gorgeous. I'm loving the colour. Very clean look and the details in the engine bay look real good. Top work.

Bartster
My tastes must be expanding. Usually not my cup of tea, the nailhead helps I think. Nice, solid effort all the way around. l have to agree about the flatheads.

wgflatliner
Very nice. Are the auto touch up paints generally a lacquer or?
roadhawg
Very nice. Are the auto touch up paints generally a lacquer or? I'm guessing it is a urethane-type basecoat, I don't think they use lacquers for touch up anymore.
