Bartster Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I'm getting back in the hobby after over 30 yrs out. SO much new I'm amazed. I've bought over 30 kits so far & haven't finished one yet. So many choices! I haven't worked w/resin as it wasn't around in the "old days". Found some conversion parts at Bandit resins. Would anyone recommend them? Comments appreciated.
Chuck Most Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Wholeheartedly. Kenny's stuff is very nicely done, and the prices are pretty good too.

Rob Hall Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Good stuff..I've bought a few of his bodies and parts, no complaints.
Ron Hamilton Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I love the items from Bandit Resins. Very high quality.
dimaxion Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Most casters do include instructons for using resin . It would not hurt to tell the caster this is your first time with ...your 1st order . Many tips are in this catagory . And ...you always can ask here . Thanx ..
Bartster Posted December 28, 2011 Author Posted December 28, 2011 Thanx, ya'll! I have posts in other areas in the forum too. I'm trying to replicate my 1:1 '69 Chevy truck streetrod & will Definately purchase their grille & cowl hood. Their site says the shortbed conversion is out of stock, so I'll try to section the long bed. Still lookin 4 a '72 kit as well.
cooltoys1 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Ive been in this hobby a long, long time. Ive dealt with MANY resin casters. Some professional companies, some fly by night companies. Had issues with quality from most of them at some point in time or another. I have to say that Bandit Resins is one of the most professional company i have dealt with in a long time. I had a slight issue with an item, and they quickly and effeciently remedied the situation with no questions asked. I would buy from them and recommend them to anyone. Thanks Bandit!

martinfan5 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I wanted to order a set of wheels, sent a few emails, never heard back. Maybe I will try again someday
mikemodeler Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Kenny is a great guy to deal with, met him at a show a few years back and he is one of us, a model builder! He is friends with Eric at P&P /Porky's Resin and they usually are set up close to one another at shows. His stuff is nice and hopefully he has some new stuff in the works!
Craig Irwin Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I wish he would finish his new mold for the Morris Traveler, hint, hint.
Chuck Most Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Kenny is one of those rare casters- the only issue I have with him is I never buy enough from him! I'm always happy with the quality of the product and service from Bandit, and his prices are very reasonable, to boot.
sebivens Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I agree, bought my 1st resin from him and it is great, especially being my 1st attempt. I emailed him and even though he was re-working the master he found what I wanted and got it to me ASAP. Great communication also, I definately will be a return customer
george 53 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Purchased both his 71 Scamp and 70 GTX and they BOTH were PERFECT!!! He IS a TOP NOTCH caster, and you can buy from him in good faith and with confedence!!!
High octane Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 After your testimonials, I guess I'm going to have to order that resin body from Bandit that I've been eyein' for awhile.
george 53 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 By alll means, Go for it,Nick. Kenny's castings are as good or better than the factory's, and EASILY hold up to Modelhaus or R&M of M's castings, he's THAT good!!!
Eshaver Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Nick, you can trust me on this . I happen to know Ken and his wife personally. Both are some hard working NO B. S. folks , just like me . Unlike some of the people / casters here , I can tell ya , I have watched ken in action and he is one demanding character . You would think cause he has trouble with one hand he's not capable of such masterful work , yer wrong . I wish I was working full time again as Ken makes a lot of the product I would gladly buy given the chance . Hey, check out bandit resins .com , you'll be glad ya did ! Ed Shaver
