surfjunke Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 This is a 1/43 resin kit from Prestige Turbo of France. Very nice clean simple kit with a lot of decals. It does have turned aluminum rims & center lugs. The only etch is the wheel centers. I did add the missing roll cage bars, seat belts & decal gauges to the dash. The paint is tamiya white over Vallejo primer, followed by 2 days of applying decals. The final paint is a 2 part Dupont clear. One of the last steps & the hardest for me is those vac formed windows.
Dyno Davo Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Man, that car is super cool and an extra super neat build in 1/43, amazing.
Badluck 13 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I like it man, always loved the lines on this car! Ditto Very beautiful build!
W-409 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 It looks very good. Paint is great, and decals fit nicely, even in that small scale. Great job on the tires and wheels too, they look very good to me. Looks like you managed to fit windows very nicely on place too.
peter31a Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Wow! That is fantastic! You did a great job with this. Love these vintage race cars.
parki Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Very cool model. I had a 77 Buick Skyhawk quite a few years ago. same car, just different badges
Gluhead Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Oh wow, I totally forgot about these. They were actually one of my earliest interests in cars (along with the Mustang II widebody haha). Now I have to go dig up an old race or two and relive a slice of my childhood. Thanks for posting it.
Silver Foxx Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 The racing monza always looked great-you have made a real nice model.
