Lyle Willits Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Olds grille from Revell '48 Ford kit. '50 Pontiac tailights. 421 Pontiac engine from AMT kit. Chrome wheels painted, leaving the trim ring and hardware chromed. Paint is Duplicolor light green metallic and Tamya Champaigne and polished Testors Wet Look Clear.
Jon Cole Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 That is awesome stuff, Lyle. Did you brush or spray the wheels? I think leaving some chrome really makes the deal!
TooOld Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Great color combination . That Wet Look Clear is nice stuff .
zaina Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 beautiful car! traditional all the way. only thing i would do is wash some black into the door and trunk jams.
Guest Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Nice work, sweet build. I unfortunatly am the only one so far to not care for the color combo, but it does not detract from a fine build!
rmvw guy Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Nice job!! ...I assume the wheels were chrome and you brush painted everything but, the chrome, is that correct? ...I really like that look also.
Bowtienutz Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Lyle you do such neat stuff with subtle mods and make everything just plain WORK ! I like it!
Grumpa Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I love this. Great work Lyle. Shaving it smooth has convinced me to go that route when I get around to building mine.
W-Machine Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 All of the elements have been integrated very nicely into this build. There's a lot to like in your Chevy.
Olds Rocket 88 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Very nice Lyle... hope to see it in person saturday.
