This one is maybe a candidate for a rebuild, or at least a refreshment with a new red and black paint on the interior.

It's a AMT 1/25 model kit I built around 1991, maybe 1992, it's old, 20 years old at least. It was my very first atempt on actual modeling paint for the body, and If I recall correct, it was Tamiya from a spray can.

At the time, finding BMF around here was impossible, so I use to foil my models with domestic use aluminum foil, and white water based glue. The foil is already showing some corrosion, what's kind of cool if you ask me!!

The colors for the interior I just invented by using the colors I had at the time.

What do you think? Rebuild it or not?

I leave my older builds alone, that way I can compare with a more recent build to see if my abilities have impeoved at all. But it's yours so do what you want. However it is a nice build, I'd leave it be.

I'd leave it. The black paint looks flawless, why tempt fate? Unless you think you can do better. I've got lots on the shelf that I would like to do over but they also show how far I've come.

Yep, she'll stay as is, with the exception of an engine rebuild, as it blew up when trying to race a '57 FORD!!!!!

Yes, let it, like it is - in my few a beauty. New engine "i will accept" ;) and it will work with the outside. clean and beautuful.
