Webb Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 This one was built from a Revell snap kit. I was shooting for a mid '60s lower budget dragster and came up with this. The Halibrand wheels are from Resin Works and were painted Duplicolor gold and topcoated with Testors Dull Coat. The body is Duplicolor silver metallic with no clear coat or any polishing so it has just a slight sheen. The interior has aluminum sheet door panels and transmission hump with a shifter for the two speed powerglide. Roll bar is brass rod. Push bar is aluminum tubing. Light blue mylar was used for the windows. The grill filler was made from aluminum sheet. Fuel tank and "foot" pedals are Detail Master. This was one of those "quickie" builds that I'm sure we all enjoy in the middle of all those other more tedious builds with engines, transmissions, and chassis to detail! Chris
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 This one reminds me why the '34 3-window is one of my all time favorites. Great clean car.

Webb Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 looks really cool going with the bare metal look eh? That was the idea but maybe I should have gone with Alclad aluminum. Do you ever go to any of the contests around Dallas?
Draggon Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Thats nice, I love it! Several of these have shown up lately, one of my favorite kits. Im working on one with almost the same wheels and tires. I like how you did the wheels up in that dark gold, contrasts well with the silver paint.
Jantrix Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Very nice work. Its just screaming for a number on the door though.
vintagedragfan Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 that is a nice little Quicky Build as you put it, very nice detail and the wheels looks spot on for the era, greta work Chris!
