luciomduran Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Here is my latest build. It was for a model contest on Jalopy Journal. It's the Revell 1932 Ford Roadster kit with the engine from the Revell 1932 Ford 5-Window kit. The rubber, door handles and tail lights are from the Revell 1941 Willys Gasser model. Replicas and Miniatures pipes chromed by Chrometech USA. The color is Testors One Coat Lacquer Blazing Black. Let me know what you think:
Jantrix Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Man that looks super. Where did the decals come from?
rmvw guy Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I think it looks fantastic and very traditional hot rod!
Albie D Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 (edited) That paint is so straight. I had a build for the JJ too, but never got it done. Very nice build. Where did you get the headers?!? Edited June 6, 2012 by Albie D
RedBanditCustoms Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Its a pretty clean build! Takes true skill to paint black with flames!
W-409 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Beautiful Old School HotRod, absolutely beautiful. Flames doesn't look like decals, to me they look like "painted on". Great paint and nice details all over, just would like to see more pictures of this one.
luciomduran Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Thanks everyone. The headers are from replicas and miniatures. The flames are decals. They are from the new release of the Revell 3- Window kit. I shot everything in blazing black and then decaled it and then shot clear over all of it.
Sixties Sam Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Very nice classic hot rod! I like the flames and the red grille. Good work! Sam
