So I come home from work tonight and there's my wife making my birthday cake. It's in the shape of a muscle car. Shes into cake decorating and has learned a lot from that Ace of Cakes fella. When I came in she had just finished using her decorating airbrush that I bought for her birthday (nice little unit btw) to "paint" my cake blue using food coloring.

I enter the room and immediately start complimenting her on the work and then something unusual catches my eye.

I say to her, "You aren't concerned about overspray?"

She says, "I'm cleaning the kitchen tomorrow so I hadn't given it much thought, why?"

I point down at my pal Zuzu, our white shepherd who is a constant fixture on the kitchen floor. She just about falls out of her chair laughing when she sees that he is now the cutest shade of baby blue.

Sounds great , a previous dog ended up with one side bright red when I painted one of my 1:1 mini's years ago ... It spent 6 or so months on stands in the garage while I was working on it and she had a habit of sleeping underneath it , I thought she would have moved when the compressor kicked in and didn't think to check , she lay there for the whole coat and was still asleep when I finished .

I agree though , where's the photo of yours ?

Funny story Rob, I can only imagine what the neighbors would think if you took the dog out for a walk before washing the overspray off!

Enjoy the cake and your birthday too!

Oops...

Too bad the blue didn't show up in the picture (see...one of us reads your answers!) I would've liked to have seen that, too.

Perhaps an outdoor shot might have less wash-out?

I'll paint any dog any color for only ninety-nine ninety-five.
