Finished 62 Buick mild custom.

Hi guys, got the Buick finished and I think it turned out ok. Some mods were as follows. Sunken antenna, Targa top , pancaked the hood , added side window frames as targa top supports , interior is flocked. The paint is Big Bad Blue ( AMC color ) and White Lightning for the top and interior.

There must be something in the air. This is the second or third AMT 62 225 I've seen built. I'm also working on one that I started a couple of months ago- I hope to have it finished in the next few weeks.

David, your right. It was strange when I was working on mine I came across the one that had the front portion of the roof removed and I had just cut mine to do the targa roof. Do you have any of your WIP photos posted ?

I don't usually post progress pics these days- not enough time. Besides, just about everybody here knows I can build, so I don't need to bore them with all the details. I'll post a few pics when I get it finished.

The body's painted, just needs some foil work before assembly. I also masked and shot the second color on the interior tonight. It came out kind of sloppy and will need some clean-up. It's tricky work masking these tub-type interiors.

Do you have any pics that show the front of yours better? There are so many different options possible, I'm curious to have a better view of what you combination you chose.

David, here is a photo of the front end. After looking at it again I have decided that I don't like it. I tried something different and it looked different in my mind. I will be changing it I think. I will leave the lights but I will remove the bullet and grills and replace that stuff with a custom grill of some sort.
