Intmd8r Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Some nice work on this. The wheels remind me of vintage Panasport road racing wheels. What are they from? Your build thread said that they were left over from a previous build.
Monty Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I loved the look of the IMSA cars back in the day. Too bad most of the IMSA models were so mediocre. Yours turned out well, especially considering what you had to work with. Lots to like here, but the modifications you made to the wheels are impressive, to say the least. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "two Humbrol pearl clears"? I'm pretty familiar with the enamels they offer in the small tins; are these pearl clears something from their rattlecan line? If you have PNs, I be interested in seeing them.
martinfan5 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Another nice build, you live up to your name, well done
W-409 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Very nice Monza, turned out very well. I'm a fan of these H-Body cars too, so this one is one of my favorite subjects too. Nice paint job, as usual and very clean build over all.
S. Svendsen Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Cool build. I love the wheels. These IMSA bodied cars are starting to really get popular again.
3men2s Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 You took me back to the days ......MONZA LOOKS TERRIFIC
Scale-Master Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 Thanks guys. The wheels are modified Miata units. You can see how they were repurposed in the WIP thread. The Humbrol paint came out of the little enamel Xtracolor tins. X368 Mica 1 and X369 Mica 2
dimaxion Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 that looks brilliant, great work ! A great build . I haven't seen many of these since the '80's . I built the Revelle Pontiac H Body version . Anyone want to trade for it ? PM me please . You do nice work . Thanx ..
