He better cut a check to a chassis shop and get the thing tied together with a roll cage.

Wouldn't hurt to put on his seatbelt either. What kind of track lets you run that quickly without a shoulder belt? I'm guessing this was some kind of show and not a sanctioned event, but even so...when you run that quickly a helmet and seatbelt use should be mandatory.

What's under the hood? I'm guessing a big turbo.

That "track" looks more like a long driveway out in the sticks that somebody put a christmas tree and guardrails on.

i dont think the guy needs much advice, looks to me like hes got it covered except maybe a bit more driving skill, he gets out of control in both those vids and has to back off. that that pile is certainly pretty impressive if you ask me. not something you would expect and the voices in the crowd seem to echo that...sweet vids!

Of course not. But should someone die out there someones gonna be liable. Insisting on a cage, proper racing belts and a helmet at the least would be the smart thing to do.

If he's going for the "sleeper" theme, I think it would be MUCH better off if it were turbo'd rather than supercharged. You can hear that thing a mile away. I go with a less radical cam and a turbo setup... Built right, it could be just as fast (or even faster) and sound way milder.

I don't think you install 20"+ wheels for a sleeper look.

It sounds great, I think. Nothing quite like the whine of a supercharger. :)

Yeah, I agree with ya on that, generally you wouldn't. LOL... I meant he was maybe going for a look to try and catch people off guard.

I do agree that it sounds great! I wouldn't be racing with those big rims though... I bet the weight of those things alone slow the car down noticeably and it surely would never hook worth a darn!

I like the car a lot better in the second video. :)

I kind of like the boxes with 20"+ wheels, as the cars have always looked big, even though they were downsized from the previous full-size GM Colonnade cars.

But for the strip, you need slicks. Stil pretty impressive that a car that heavy and boxy can run that quickly.
