espo Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 This is real cool. I was going to mention the Dodge grill issue, but you cleaned that up nicely. Looks like a fun build. Keep up the good work, and let your imagination be your guide.
Scale-Master Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 I decided to go with a V12 since I have the some of the main engine parts from the Enzo.
Scale-Master Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 Now that I have the engine positioned I knew where to put the scoop. I smoothed out the roof and filled the holes for the rack and went with a Dodge theme for the scoop and new roof details. I also shaved the door handles off.
Danno Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Ahhh, yes. The legendary phantom concept van, the Dodge Ramvark. Known around DaimlerChryslerFiat headquarters under the code name "Raardvark." Looking ... well, ... okay, okay ... good? Or like they used to say, "Well, she has a great personality."
Pat Minarick Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I like it! Glad you lost the door handles, they looked huge!
Scale-Master Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Back to this project… It wasn’t stalled; it was a victim of “priority shift”. The basic engine and part of the rear suspension is installed into the interior. The engine is almost box-stock except for the pulleys and the cam cover inserts. The bodywork is finished and it is starting to get the final paint applied. There is a wing I am working on for the rear roof that goes with the scoop. The wheels are done except for center caps and possible tire lettering.
Art Laski Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Mark, those wheels look awesome. What are the tires from?
Scale-Master Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 They say GTR on the inside and I know Tamiya made them. A racing GTR? They came from the parts box and I don't even have a Race GTR kit...

I'm sure you've accumulated a lot of spares over the years, so I'm not surprised you don't know where they came from! They looks like a pretty nice road race tire, so I was curious. Scale-Master Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Thanks guys. You know..., I assumed "new" GTR since that was the last one I built, not Skyline GTR. I did build some R33 and R34 cars over the years.
checkmate Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 This is way cool, the only thing I'd change is fill in the large side windows to make it more of a van, the only downside would be it'd cover up a lot of your hard work on the inside.
Austin T Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 The first post should have said "And now for something completely different."Crazy
Scale-Master Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Seats from an RX-7 were mounted to a riser made of sheet stock. Seat belts were cut from vinyl patch material for an air mattress. I also cut the hardware out of chrome Mylar. A set of simple intake stacks were turned for the engine and some of the plumbing is done.
Guest G Holding Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) I hope you are enjoying this build ! I'm sorry I guess I don't get it. I might relate it to the Jetsons....and I do see your craftsmanship top notch as usual...Oh well build on! Edited September 19, 2012 by G Holding
cobraman Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Engine does look good and the seat belts look very good.
Scale-Master Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 I hope you are enjoying this build ! I'm sorry I guess I don't get it. I might relate it to the Jetsons....and I do see your craftsmanship top notch as usual...Oh well build on! Thanks guys. Oh yes, I am enjoying building it, and I still don't even know for sure what it will look like when it is done. I also don't know that there is anything to "get". Bizarre may be an understatement, but sadly due to prolonged exposure, it is looking normal to me now…
AzTom Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 That is thinking outside the box. Too Cool!
