01blueedge Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I like the wheel in the 1st and 2nd pic. good job on the paint I am really liking how this one is turning out
raildogg Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Speaking of paint, I think it's metal flake correct?. So where and what the name of that paint. Bitchin' Man!!! Please reply PM on that paint. Thanks
jamesG Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 any of those would look good with some rubber on them.
slammedi'am Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Been messing with it just a lil bit the past few days...Got the interior done on it and BF done...Still have some of it left....My go with the 737 kit wheels on it now...
torinobradley Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 how about wide whites, red wheels to match the interior, chassis & graphics and stock 40 hubcaps & trim rings?
tvandmoviecars Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I would go old school... steelies with baby moons... red steelies.... never been a fan of those all chrome or whatever rims, like you have on it.... on any car... but that is MY opinion, it's your car.... but, ya did ask!<LOL>
moparfarmer Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I like the picture on the bottom. Don't know what kind of wheels they are but the bigger tires look better on Street Rods. Elastic band tires look good on newer cars, not street rods...
slammedi'am Posted August 11, 2012 Author Posted August 11, 2012 I was thinking about the white walls but dont have any more....I know I wont be going with the Centerlines....Still up in the air on wheels
Grumpa Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Shane, this is looking great. I love the color, but you always seem to make the right choice when it comes to that. As to the wheels......I love the five spoke!
slammedi'am Posted August 13, 2012 Author Posted August 13, 2012 Thanks Grumpa....... As far as wheels are going, maybe doing white walls and red steelies....Still messing with wheels lol
slammedi'am Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 Finally got back to messing with this one...Been busy with my real truck and havent had time for models.......Got some white walls and ainted the stock steelies today...Ill let the paint dry a few days and Ill get the centers on...Started putting it togethor now....But both 40 kits I have the fender section is all warped so Im gonna have to work on it..
Gluhead Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Sharp. The steels definitely bring that one home.
Pat Minarick Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I like the red rims too! And love the colors on the interior!
rmvw guy Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 (edited) That's what I'm talkin bout!!! Those wheels look righteous!!!!!!!! Edited August 26, 2012 by rmvw guy
JasonFL Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I'd have to agree with everyone else, those red steelies deffinatly make a difference. I do like the chrome ones I just think the red ones look better.
Joker Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Great work on the interior... the red wheel combo is timeless
Draggon Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Now thats nice! Agreed with all, the new choice of wheels and tires makes it soooo much better!
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I think it looks 'right' with the Centerlines OR the red steel wheels. Both looks REALLY work for this build, depending on what kind of flavor you're after. Since it's a shop-truck, it would depend on whether you were after the 'traditional' clientele or the more contemporary semi-billet guys.
slammedi'am Posted August 29, 2012 Author Posted August 29, 2012 Almost got this one done...Still gotta finish up the engine and some other small deatils...But here are some sneak peak pics
Del Austin Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Turned out great. Gotta say the red wheels tied in the chassis and lettering nicely. That and red steelies with white walls (or without) look good on everything!
bryan_m Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 that looks great! im glad you went with the red steelies! very nice work. cheers bryan
slammedi'am Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 Done http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=63155
JasonFL Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Well executed. I think if there wasn't any red in the paint work then maybe the chrome would of been the way to go but those red steelies was the right touch. Nice build
