caine440 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 This one is done! It is mostly out of the box except slixx decals, MAD dual distributor, and a big thanks to Don for the Reliable Resin head lights and rear slicks. Thanks for looking!!
dimebolt Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Great job Roger. My first kit, ableit unfinished, was the Sox and Martin 71 Cuda when I was about 9 years old. Thi was before I knew anything about Mopar. I ust thought it looked like the meanest car there. Still one of my all time favorites. Your's looks spot on. Corey
Rob Hall Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Very sharp...I love the look of those early '70s Mopar drag cars.
JunkPile Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I can almost hear that bad boy a rumblin'. Looks real good!
MAGNUM4342 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I had one of these as a youngster and never had the guts to tackle it. I ended up giving it away. Seeing how nice it builds up i'm tempted to get another one. Nice job!
Intmd8r Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I had one of these as a youngster and never had the guts to tackle it. I ended up giving it away. Seeing how nice it builds up i'm tempted to get another one. Nice job! They don't all buld up this nice . The '71 'Cuda is one of my all time favorite cars and I've built a few of them in my time. None of them ever turned this nice. Usually this kit specifically has alignment issues, bad casting lines, and/or heavy flash. But thats just my experience. Hey Roger, you did a great job! I know how hard it can be to makke this kit look realistic, but I think you nailed this one!
TooOld Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Wow ! That is nice ! The paint , the tires , and the aggressive stance are perfect . You nailed it !
brett Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Is there a classic Mopar Pro Stock he hasnt nailed? lol Great work again Roger, glad to see this one from you at last
Mister Twister Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Another fantastic build from your bench....Good stuff!
W-409 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Wow, great job. This kit is not too great quality, but you built it very nicely. Great detail and paint too.
jeffaary Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Great job on one of my favorite drag cars of all time.
Burnout Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Looks great! Right out of the Golden Age of drag racing. I like it. I bet wiring that engine was a task.
route66modeler Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) great job! Sox and Martin one my favorite race teams. I wish I could have met Ronnie Sox before he died. Steve Edited July 31, 2012 by route66modeler
caine440 Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 I got to met him at the 1979 US nationals. My wife and I just had our first child two weeks ago. He was born 8 weeks early and is doing great. His name is Ronnie.
