Hey guys, I am putting this baby together for a friend. So far, the body is prepped for paint after eliminating some nasty mold lines and the engine is pretty much complete. I will be painting the car black and maroon as per my friend's request. Once I get the paint, I will continue updating.......

Here, the body is lightly sanded and the panel lines scribed and ready to go.....

The paint on the engine has that "military" build look to it.

As always the seam work is flawless.

Topic followed.

I agree!

What did you use for a black wash?

Thank you. I use the line of shades by Citadel from the Games Workshop stores.

Super engine! Plus, the engine stand is pretty nifty!!

Looks like the one from the Fujimi Tuner Parts set. Or should I say one of the pair from that set. ^_^

I think you should talk your friend into letting you keep the engine on that stand- it just looks too nice to hide underneath a hood!

Terrific start Cruz, cant wait to see what you do with this one. That engine looks terrific. What did you use for the bent spark plugs?

Great work on the Hudson engine, looks incredible. What color and paint did you use?

Thanks my friend. I used Model Master gold from the small bottles. At the onset, the paint turned out a little too metallic looking because of the heavy flakes in the paint so I decided to shoot some Testor's dull coat on it. By doing this, it got rid of the heavy metallics in the paint. After this, I shot a coat of clear and then finished off with the washes.

I personally hate the metallic paints from the Lacquer line of Testor's, I think the metallics are way out of scale and unless you are doing some sort of lowrider type of build or something, at least for this subject is wrong. What can I say, my friend wants it like this, who am I to argue....

Anyway, I painted, polished and BMF'ed this thing over the weekend and if you hate using BMF, this certainly will not be the model for you.....

These are the paints and color.....

These are the results. I must say that once I shot the clear, the intensity of the flakes diminished a bit... B)

Fantastic work Cruz even if you are not happy with the paint used. Looks like a lot of BMF on that thing, how much fun was that?
