pharr7226 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Bill, your subtle improvements to the body are awesome. I love the '58 body lines and before seeing yours, I doubted that anyone could modify them and improve on the original... Kinda like remaking a Marvin Gaye song... There are some things that you just don't touch. But, your mods are perfect for that body. Keep it up.
71datsun1200 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 that's gonna be a show stopper when finished, any more pics of progress?
tooltas Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 why not lt5 that motor is over top too in a custom
JasonFL Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Love the way you got this looking, the roof, wheels, etc. just flows real nicely. Can't wait to see it all finished
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 Closing in on the frame work to try to finalize the stance and bring this one home.
crazyrichard Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 whow that looks soo good , awsome stance and the body lines are superb !!
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Thanks a lot Arno & Richard !! I'll be slightly raising the top of the windshield frame and slightly lowering the rear of the hard-top to get away from the down-in-front look in the profile shot, and adding the 'double-bubble' look of the C-5 roof panel as well. Otherwise, she'll stay the same.
DrKerry Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 FWAAAAPPPP!!!! Ouch, my head hit the table!!!!!! That is one awesome looking Vette Bill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta keep going on this one!!!
DrKerry Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Glad to see you back on this one Bill. It's gonna be cool. The best looking custom 'Vette I've seen in a long time. Ditto that Steve!!!
Kennyboy Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Great execution on this so far Bill. I can attest to how hard it is to make that chassis fit the old Vette body. The newer vettes are much wider and longer. You made it look easy Bill!
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 Bring this one home! The crowds demand it! Thanks for dredging this one up. I need to learn to do BMF (!) to do the color separation in the coves justice. I have a very specific idea as to how I want this thing to look, and the chrome around the coves is absolutely necessary.
DrKerry Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Yes, Yes, YES!!!!!!!!!!! Finish it you must!!!!!!!!!!!
Zed Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 8 years laters, what are the news about that sexy corvette ? ?
misterNNL Posted July 17, 2022 Posted July 17, 2022 Excellent work. Which is no surprise given your extensive knowledge of 1:1 cars and "take no prisoners" approach to the design and execution.
