mountaindewd Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I'm also having problems hingeing the suicide doors because the seats will be in the way of the arch of the hinge pin. I'll figure something out... Have you tried to reverse mount the hinge? I don't which way you were trying. Either the pivot secured to the inside of the door or the inside of the body.
Tony T Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I have the glass you need as I used the body for a race car. PM me your address and I'll mail the glass to you.

Deathgoblin Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Looking good so far! I need to get another one of these. I had one, way back when, but it went with the rest of my car model collection.
northendmetalallstar Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 Got some more work done this weekend... Wheels finished with Alclad Since I was stealing the tires out of the '40 Ford kit, I thought I would use the hinges as well
1930fordpickup Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I am a fool for your stocking's must be playing in your head while building this car !
Deathgoblin Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 "Gimme All Your Lovin'" is what I keep getting on this post.
Kit Basher Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I am a fool for your stocking's must be playing in your head while building this car ! "Gimme All Your Lovin'" is what I keep getting on this post. I keep thinking of the video for "Sharp Dressed Man"
northendmetalallstar Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 I keep thinking of the video for "Sharp Dressed Man" Sharp Dressed Man all the way baby!! That's gotta be THE defining guitar riff of the 80's...
1930fordpickup Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) I keep thinking of the video for "Sharp Dressed Man" Well you are a little up on me, I never had MTV or cable until they stopped playing Video's on the MTV . How sad is that. LOL I just like the older sound from ZZ Top a little bit more than the newer stuff . Edited September 4, 2012 by 1930fordpickup
gasser59 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Funny, I've been hearing "She Loves My Automobile." Love this kit, I have one without fenders in my diorama and another on the shelf for a rainy day. I'm all in on watching this one come together. The alclad is a great improvement over the chrome.
Zarana-X Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Excellent. I built this as a kid, and I remember the ill-fitting roof, and the stock exhaust molded into the chassis.
bryan_m Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 looking good! that 40 ford pickup is a great kit too, you`ll enjoy building it. i have a couple here, ill get to `em one of these days..... cheers bryan
