I painted the body of this project back in march, but a few days back I got back some of my interest in the hobby and thought it would be a nice quick project. The car comes together quite nice and as we speak, working on finishing the car.

This is the boxart:

The body after it got painted in march (without clear)

The chassis looks very nice, it features working suspension and is quite realistic

I gave the body some semi-flat black details

And added the wheel bracket on the backdoor

I testfitted the interior and dashboard and it does look nice.

I thought the windows looked very plain in all clear plastic. So I went to my garage and dug up some window tinting foil and with some trial and error this is the result:

A little peek inside the body, you can see here I used 4 small parts of foil to create a privacy-glass look to the car.

I've had this kit downstairs since about 1995! Never opened it(It was a gift from my daughters(at the time) boyfreind.) Being it'sa 24th scale, it never messed with it. gonna hafta pull the wrap off the rascal an check it out. Looks pretty nice!:D;)

That's a nice looking kit... your work is good too :)

I see this kit or another similar Tamiya Japanese SUV kit on the shelf at my LHS. Like most Tamiya models that have great box art, I can't see any sprue shots on the box so I was never sure about it.

Now seeing yours, I might have to pick it up on the next trip

Good project! I never saw this kit before. It's look a lot better than the Fujimi kit.

Wow! Didn't know they made a full detail of this vehicle. You're doing an outstanding job so far.

There are actually a good number of these kits out there , Aoshima has a few as well, and there is a newer Land Cruiser as well

On topic, nice job so far , looking good

I got the one with the sport options (ARB bumper, rear ladder, second set of wheels, chunkier tires, light bar) a while back, and it was great to build since it went together well and was detailed nicely.
