My eyes are shot. I can't seem to drill out a dtributor anymore for wiring. Who makes the most realistic prewired ditributors. I remember a website that had fantastic looking ones, but for the life of me I can't find it. Google searched and I find everything but this one. Thanks, Ken

Kris's are really nice. I also like Replicas and Miniatures that have nice rounded side detail. They don't have great photos of their products so I took some quick shots ..

Kris Morgan distributor note material to make wire boots also included,

Funny that the M.A.D. product be mentioned as I am using one in my current build of a Mustang gasser. The cap is prewired and comes in 6 cap colors and 9 different colors. You can also get them in 4-6- or 8 conifguration. The detail is very good . What I don't understand with the one I have now is that it comes with a piece of wire to use as boot material. Others I have used come with tubing. So how do it use wire for boot material ? I will try and slice off some of the insulation off the wire and see if I can pull the wire out to create some tubing.

^^^ This is the one you want. It has great detail, including the "towers" which are almost always missing from others' distributors.

Ys Ray. Just pull th wire out and, cut the insulation for the boots. Some modelers even save the wire to aid in detailing.

You need to see Fatkidd's 2nd generation distributors. Maybe he'll get a pic up here.

Ok...here's 2 pictures of the ones that I make. I just started making this style a month or so ago and haven't "branched out" with them too much. I did sell some of them to a local hobby shop, though. The plug boots are precut and already placed on the wire.

The first picture is of one of the distributors, by itself. The "wiggly" one is the coil wire. I don't don that on all of them, but this one is for me.

The second picture is one the distributors in an engine and wired up.

-I personally get a larger bit and drill out the. Center of my dizzy, I then add my 9 wires, or 7, or 5 depending on cylander config. Set my wires down in the hole with glue and let it dry, wala. Pre wired dizzy!

Good luck with that ! I've used several MADD distributors and really like them , but have never been able to get the insulation over the plug wires !

Maybe it's me .
