Helix Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 G' Day Folks, Built this a few months back, AMT Chevy 2 'Rat Packer' kit, doesn't represent an actual AWB, just thought I would build one because they look pretty cool Paint is a Testors Silver base with a few coats of Clear Red, a few details thrown in and decals by Slixx Cheers Ray
cobraman Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Great job ! I have built a few of those and they are a fun build.
eviltwincustoms Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Nice job on pulling this one together. Love the color and those tall velocity stacks... Not much of an altered wheel based follower, but this one looks the part. Great execution!
zaina Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Looks real nice. Pretty simple kit but does build up pretty nice with a little effort
Helix Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated
Mister Twister Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I've seen a couple of cars that were "FUGLY" but this ain't one of them.....Nice job!
phil55 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 very cool build ...whats the name of the paint colour used on this?
Helix Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 Thanks guys Philip, the colour used for the base is Testors Sterling Silver 3D Metallic (Rattle can) and Tamiya Clear Red (Rattle can) From memory I shot around three coats of the silver for the base followed by several coats of the clear red to get the desired result, hope this helps mate.
Fortheloveofgassers Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Excellent build, I am working on the same model as I write this. Hope mine turns out as nice!
mopar68 Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Love this one Ray, so tidy. And that colour

gasser59 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 This would be one wild ride. Your paint looks great and the stance is perfect. Nicely done.
AZ Boy Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 VERY nice, Ray! Super-clean build, and the paint and detail are great.
