Ramfins59 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Great pictures Tom... Thanks for sharing them. I know I'll be picking up probably a couple of those Revell Merc Woody kits when they come out.
Joker Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Thanks for sharing the NNL pixs. Digging Chopper's paint and body work.
george 53 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Jim, I had the pleasure of talkin with Chopper at length about the Buicamino, and it was a real treat just talkin about how he went about building the bed cover. That thing is done SOOOOO smoothly, you won't find a ripple or bow or flaw anywhere on it. It really does look like something GM coulda done, HAD they done one. I told him as much, and he replied, "Thanks, THAT was what I was goin for!" He sure accomplished that!!!
RyanK Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 So what won the awards? I left too soon. Looks like revell is coming out with some amazing cars.
Howard Cohen Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Here are the photos I took... http://public.fotki.com/howardcohen/nnl-nationals-2012/
crazyjim Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 It took some time to go through all of the pics, but it was worth it. Thanks for sharing.
426hemiman Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Had a great time at the show in Toledo. Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table to say hello. Hope you had enough cookies and sloppy joes! Great NNL - some awesome paint jobs on the cars!
shucky Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Wow ... awesome pics! Thanks for sharing. I'm blown away by the Steampunk motorcycle made from plastic picnic spoons!
cruz Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Great pictures my friend, thanks for sharing! How correct is that '70 'Cuda body? I am liking it a lot!!
mikelo Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Great pics! Wish I could have made it. This is a true NNL (I believe the original as well). As such, there are no awards except maybe a people's choice. Great time to get together and talk. Mike
tim boyd Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 http://public.fotki.com/funman1712/model-car-events-co/2012-nnl-nationals-/ Click on the link above for individual, detailed coverage of each of the nearly 20 models from 10 different builders that participated in the "Cult Theme" at the 2012 NNL Nationals. The imagery is provide in super-high res pictures shot in F/22 for full depth of field, and presented in my preferred "table shots" format (which provides a better sense of the environment at the event - just as full size street machines and rod runs are photographed with real backgrounds instead of studio settings). Each of the models shown below is fully explained in the album Here's an overall shot of the participants in the "1/25th scale 1946-48 Fords" Cult Theme this year: Thanks for your interest, and thanks for looking. TIM
