ChevyCoupe41 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 My latest build, Revell '63 Chevy Impala. It's box stock build except plug wires, engine fuel line and interior flocking. Im very happy to the result and I think that this is one of my greatest builds. Here's few pics: Comments and tips and tricks are very welcome because i want to do next build better. Thank's for lookin!
jcbigpaw Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Nice looking car. Good work. Does this kit come with the open trunk or was that your handiwork?
cobraman Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Looks very nice. I was wondering about the trunk too.
TooOld Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Very , very nice ! The taillight panel looks perfect , so does the rest of it !
ChevyCoupe41 Posted October 20, 2012 Author Posted October 20, 2012 Thanks Joe, Ray and Bob for those kind words! This kit come with that open trunk and that spare tire also comes with this kit.
Erik Smith Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Nice. Don't see many 63s - and less built stock. Cool. Nice clean job too.
rmvw guy Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 (edited) Nice job on a beautiful car. I've never seen one with the opening trunk is this AMT or other? I looked again and saw Revell, now I have to get one! Edited October 20, 2012 by rmvw guy
sak Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Looks badass !!!! But if you buy it MWguy, I hope you have a spare smallblock. This is what is supposed to be an intake/heads. The firewall also has what looks like a glob of melted plastic that landed on it by accident. But it actually a molded in master cylinder.. Everything else about this kit looks decent.
bbowser Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 As already noted, the taillight panel looks great. Nice clean build, I love Impalas!
ChevyCoupe41 Posted October 20, 2012 Author Posted October 20, 2012 Thank's Erik,Ron,jeff and Bruce for kind words! Greg: Sad but true that is Revell engine. After some detailing it looks good but not very realistic. If you want to use better engine when you built this kit ,I think Revell '64 Impala engine is much better base to do realistic engine.
edward smith Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Looks very nice, one of my favorite year Impalas.
Daf57 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 (edited) Wow - super nice build! Looks sharp - you done good! Was this the California Wheels 2n1? That engine is really disappointing... Edited October 21, 2012 by Daf57
ChevyCoupe41 Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 Thanks Samuel,Edward,Carl and Morgan! Yep, It is California Wheels kit with those big chrome rims what i dont like at all.
Sixties Sam Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Nice! It's good to see a stock Chevy build. Well done! Sam
ChevyCoupe41 Posted October 22, 2012 Author Posted October 22, 2012 Thanks Ray, Crazyjim,Lee and Sam for those kind comments. It was kind variation to do original car after that Simca because it was very far from original.
tubbs Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Nice. Don't see many 63s - and less built stock. Cool. Nice clean job too. X2!!
Duntov Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I dream about finding the real version in a garage someplace!!!! Nice build!!!!
ChevyCoupe41 Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 Thanks Al,Bill and carchub for comments!
