I love pintos. Nice build! I drove one for 10 years and not a problem. Had a valve cover gasket go at 80,000 but no major problems. There was a place in cambell calif called pinto -capri performance and they had some mean pintos there. I saved so much money with that car. Man, thanks for the memories!! I now have a C6 Corvette but I still love that pinto!!!!! Cool build!

Nice job, don't see these around anymore, and can't recall the last time I've seen a 1-1.

Had a friend who's mom owned a beige Bobcat (Mercury's version of the Pinto) that as I recall had wood grain panels like a Country Squire. Could tastes have really been that bad in the 70s?

That car always smelled like diet soda and cigarettes.

Oh, and for all the Pinto haters, the cars didn't blow up, it was a defense reflex. The cars that hit them got burned up.

Nice job. I see 3 pintos on a regular basis. One of them is an orange runabout like this, very clean looking, and she has the Yosemite Sam mudflaps with "Back Off!" at the bottom .

That is a nice looking build. Great paint. All the Pintos I see are converted to race short track - they are beat beyond belief, but run and run. They must be a good balance of power and weight for the short oval track and inexpensive to keep going.

Judging by the reflections, thats the smoothest Pinto Ive ever seen. My uncle had one with a built Windsor back in the day. The pass. side door would pop open and it couldnt get alligned because the V8 twisted the pan!
