cobraman Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Same here, never heard of such a thing. Do girls like fuzzy nails ?? : )
Chriswa Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I've added a picture for you guys, I guess some people like fuzzy finger nails????? Wierd
cobraman Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 That may be worth a try. I'll have to ask my wife or daughter to look for some.
Greg Wann Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) You might try a Sally Beauty supply store. They have been in business for many years and they are everywhere. When I recently went back to Lafayette Indiana I was surprised to find one by the Kmart on 38 across from the mall. They have stores all over the valley here. There are some really cool nail polishes available these days. I did a search on Evilbay. There are several auctions. Many "BUY IT NOW" with free shipping from HONG KONG. Pro Wrench Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 I don't see any reason it wouldn't work but you may have trouble getting anything other than bright colors though.
Skydime Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) It looks like it works the same as a simple bottle of embossing powder or that flocking powder to me. Want it half price, or even 40% off, go to AC Moore, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby with a coupon...problem solved real quick. Embossing powder isn't fuzzy but, that flocking sold at Michaels is because it's flocking but, ground finer like embossing powder. Edited December 28, 2013 by Skydime
Erik Smith Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Look for embossing powder in the craft section. Not exactly flocking, but unless your going for a shag carpet look, it's closer to scale. Apply the same way as flocking.
bobthehobbyguy Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Miceals has flocking and embossing powder. If you get white embossing powder you can spray it to change the color. bobthehobbyguy
Miatatom Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I've looked at Hobby Lobby and even the store clerks can't seem to find it. What section is it in?
91blaze Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I use embossing powder from Hobby Lobby. They don't specifically have flocking.
jrherald420 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Embossing powder is in the Isle with the stamps. Mine has 2 racks one on each side of the Isle.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Micheals may carry Martha Stewart flocking... But the last time I bought some was two years ago...
jrherald420 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 They still do but it's cheaper at HL. It's in the stamp isle at both places.
Miatatom Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Thanks guys! I was calling it flocking and the HL clerks must have thought I was an idiot.
mnwildpunk Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 No there is actual flocking material so you were correct model railroader also use it a lot for grass and such
Miatatom Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Dave, where do you find it? As I 've said, the HL folks didn't know what I was talking about. I found some at Michaels but it had sparkles in it that wouldn't have made a suitable material for carpet.
jrherald420 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I will sometimes use it for the look and spray it a different color to suit what I want.
MsDano85gt Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 so you can spray over the embossing to achive different color of choice?
vypurr59 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Embossing powder is a paper product and can be painted. You can glue it down with white glue or paint.
jrherald420 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 so you can spray over the embossing to achive different color of choice? You bet. I will buy any color I see marked down for that reason.
mnwildpunk Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 (edited) I have found flocking at a coiple places that are only locl to my area I'd. Suggest detail masters which is where my hobby shop gets it from but I have also switched to embossing powder because its a lot easier to use you don't have to strain it like flocking and like others mention it can be painted any colour you want Edited June 5, 2014 by mnwildpunk
GasPunkAlley Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I recommend Ken's Kustom Fuzzi Fur, the best stuff and the most colors out there!
