American Expedition Vehicles I believe had a 4 door kit for the TJ a few years ago.

AEV also had a 2-door Scrambler conversion kit called the "Brute".

Since R2 is bringing the AMT Pacer back out, it should be possible to convert the 258 I-6 in that into a 4.0l I-6 or even cut that down into the Jeep 2.5l OHV I-4 (which is a chopped down 258 ;) ) then one of the milder Torqueflight 3 speed autos (I think it's the 904) for an automatic equipped TJ or a 700r4 if you're modeling a modded TJ. I'm not sure where to go for the 5 and 6 speed manuals as I can't remember which ones they used, but I think they might have been the AX-15 and NV4600.

Agreed...

I've got the external 4.0L parts (intake/exhaust manifold and injection setup) from the Tamiya YJ kit (they are nicely done, the block & trans, not so much).

Now if someone (a caster) would like to put together a package including the 258 from the Pacer and the top-end 4.0L parts, I'll donate the Tamiya stuff...

A few pics of the wheels and tires, the latter of which are quite nice IMHO. The O.D. is about half-way between the two MPC Formula Desert Dog PCV tires:

Casey,

I'm not a big fan of beadlocks, so I sanded them flat. I plan to cover the sanded area of them with Bare Metal Foil. They will go on my fire-rescue version of the Rubicon. It will feature some unique modifications. Look for it soon in the "On the Workbench" section.

Day late and a dollar short. That's me.  Just saw this thread. Does anybody know if the Soft Top from the Revell Snap Rubicon will fit on the 2003 Rubicon that is the subject of this thread? The kits look close, but I'm not sure. I may just have to spring the bucks and buy both.
