crazyjim Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 This is the Monogram '57 Chevy hardtop painted in HOK euro red. Wheels are from the '66 Chevelle station wagon kit.
crazyjim Posted November 15, 2012 Author Posted November 15, 2012 Thanks, guys. I really appreciate your comments.
roadhawg Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Ahhh yes....my first car was a red '57 Chevy hardtop. It didn't look as good as this one though. Mmmmm shiny!
rmvw guy Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Beautiful red paint and I love those wheels.

crazyjim Posted November 16, 2012 Author Posted November 16, 2012 Thank you very much, guys. I can see a 1:1 like this doing the cruise night deals.
Jantrix Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 You are really cranking them out Jim, nice work.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Another beauty, Jim. Great build. You are on a roll. A Shiny Model Roll!
crazyjim Posted November 16, 2012 Author Posted November 16, 2012 Thank you, Rob. You know my motto, doc. SHINY :) RULES! There's a 50 Chevy, 29 pickup, and Rommel's Rod in progress on the worbench right now. Ever seen a SHINY :) Rommel's Rod? It's coming.
Dominik Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Beautiful red paint and I love those wheels. x2! the wheels are looking fantastic!
crazyjim Posted November 16, 2012 Author Posted November 16, 2012 Thanks Dominik. The wheels are just '66 Chevelle station wagon and I painted the spokes and added valve stems.
Duntov Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I like the front grille bar Jim..... inventive way to work our service ribbon colors into the build!!!!
crazyjim Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 Thanks, Bill. Every once in a while an opportunity that can't be ignored arises. I do the same thing to 1:1 vehicles with sign tape. The manufactures refuse to pay a monthly stipend for advertising, so I cover up their logo - or remove it.
TooOld Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Really , really nice '57 Jim ! I also like the front grille bar , but can't make out the lettering on the rear fin . What does it say ? Great looking build .
