charlie8575 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Cool. Are you going to put a battery in the trunk or will you do the old power-feed from a permanent base trick? Either way, I really like this. Charlie Larkin
martinfan5 Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 Thanks guys, Charlie, for the time being, going to put the 9volt in the trunk
Scuderia Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Thats lookin pretty slick jon can't wait to see it all done.
martinfan5 Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 (edited) Slight set back, well a few, I manage to break on the LEDs for the lightbar, well two of them. I had the lightbar glued to the roof , was working on the wiring for it, did a test to make sure the wiring was good, noticed two of them not working, so in order to get them out, I had to break glue seal, which led to chipping of the paint, nothing I cant fix , but now I have to wait tell late next week before I can proceed. I have to have the interior tub glued in place before I can start the rest of the wiring Edited November 24, 2012 by martinfan5
Bonekrosha Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 That stinks. I'm waiting on some led's to arrive so I can start wiring up one of my Po-Leece projects, you've inspired me Hope you don't run into any more snags.
Prostreet Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Very cool build, really dig the working lights.
martinfan5 Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 I take it Danno thats the one you have been working on for a very long time?, I am not letting this little set back get me down, it happens, these LEDs are great, but cant take a lot of handeling or test fitting, but the down side with this project, I cant really do lot , or move forward tell the lightbar is all done, and wires ran to the trunk area. And like they say, the clock is ticking
blunc Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Instead of a 9v battery, you can group three of the 3v coin batteries together, that might fit into a gas tank.
martinfan5 Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 I knew it, I just knew it, I should of kept this to myself, you are going to try and upstage me , huh? I could use the 3v coins, there is room in to get everything to fit in the truck area with using a 9v , but if I were to add anything else, I would probably run out of room
martinfan5 Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 The replacement LEDs came today, so now its time to start all the wiring
blackace183 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 How hard was adding the lights and were did u get the LEDs and all the wires?

gasser59 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 What? The spotlights aren't functioning too? Looks great Jonathan. You shouldn't have any trouble upstaging Danno since this is your thread and he keeps hijacking it. You've got my vote.

martinfan5 Posted December 7, 2012 Author Posted December 7, 2012 (edited) Thank you guys, Brad, I did think about making the spotlights work, but it wasn't possible and keep it still looking like a model Yes I still need to add an antenna Edited December 7, 2012 by martinfan5
Tony T Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Very nicely done! About the only way to light the spots in scale would be with fibre optics. You did a great job on this!
