My haul from the Model Car Builders of NC,SC and Virginia Model Contest/Swap Meet in Winston Salem,North Carolina yesterday.The Revell 67 Vette,Revell Land Rover and Tamiya Miata were won in the raffle.The JWTBM #18 decals,Monogram Nascar Lumina,Revell 32 Ford Tudor and AMT 76 Dart were swap meet buys.

A Tamiya Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC Lorinser. That was a tuning firm that did mostly cosmetic and interior upgrades. It was only issued once, in 1982. I had one back around 1984 or so, when it could still be found in a hobby shop. I found a good deal on eBay and couldn’t resist.

Have one as well.  Remember, there IS NO decal sheet with it.  You will have to cobble together what you might want as in instrument cluster, etc.

I did not remember the lack of a decal sheet. Looking at the box art, I thought there would be one for the seats. Sounds like a challenge.

Nope.  I was going to use sized tape or perhaps create a decal.  I have woodgrain and instrument decals in the stash that I can cobble together.

Snagged a second set of Tamiya nippers, and I have 2 pack of the KATA coming in as well. Will be here tomorrow. 

I will have a Tamiya and a Kata in my travel tool bag! 

Can't ever not have too many sets of nippers!

Had a pretty good sale day at the Model Car Builders of NC, SC and Virginia Model Contest/Swap Meet in Winston Salem, North Carolina yesterday. But as always I had to pick up a few items. First was the 47/48 Chevy coupe Moebius repop, a set of 3D printed slicks with Cragar mags and dragster wires, a 3D printed toolbox to fit a stepside pickup (upcoming project), and a older resin 1960 2dr Ford Galaxie post-sedan. Won the Dodge Coronet w/trailer in the raffle. Got a chance to make one really quick run around the tables, some mighty fine work there. Looking forward to the next one.

 Real nice kits!   I wish I would have bounced two of those prostreet Duster kits When they came out!
