Roadkill2525 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Picked this up for $8, still sealed inside.
Greg Cullinan Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I went through ten pages of this topic looking for something that had caught my eye that I couldn't remember the name of (Tamiya hiace delivery van) and saw so many posts from myself it made me sick. Anyway I will try weekly updates.
Chuck Most Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I got the SSP Revell '59 Ford Retractable, and sorry sports fans, it's 'stock only' this time except for some cheesy '80's style decal graphics. Still won't stop me from having a little fun with it, though.
TheCat Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Here's my latest finds. Four of them where kits that I've been looking for a while, they were the 1970 1/2 Baldwin Motion Camaro, Monogram 25th Ann. Lamborghini Countach, 87 Monte Carlo SS Aeroback, BAck to the Future Time Machine. The Sting Ray III and 1973 Mustang were gravy.
Gray Smith Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 had my eyes on this one at the local hobby shop..went tonight for my model club meeting and it was on clearance for 30 bucks....had to have it
Edward Gore Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I also have the original production 'Redneck Power Pick-Up' Revell kit
Greg Cullinan Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Pretty cool kit, nice looking truck on top of it. I've seen a Jimmy Carter dragster as well. I figure eventually it will make a cool pair. I also have the original production 'Redneck Power Pick-Up' Revell kit
MyBradKeselowski Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 I got mine today at Hobbytown, going to build it stock but I'm going to surprise you on how it will look
Hattley Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Just need a Billy Beer to go with that Kit! I went through ten pages of this topic looking for something that had caught my eye that I couldn't remember the name of (Tamiya hiace delivery van) and saw so many posts from myself it made me sick. Anyway I will try weekly updates.
Rob Hall Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) Got a couple R-M reissues in the mail, the '55 Bel Air conv and '59 Caddy conv. Nice to see the Caddy molded in white..I built original issues of these, have ideas for a couple more. Alas, I forgot the Bel Air had only the continental rear kit, no stock rear bumper..I'll have to swap in bumpers from a '55 Bel Air HT kit... Got the AMT '10 Challenger SRT8 and R/T Classic curbside kits yesterday, nice little variations on their '08 and '09 kits. I hope they or Revell will do an '11 SRT 392 eventually. Chuck Most Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I'll let the picture do the talking... Yeah, I'm pretty well covered for winter!
Railfreak78 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 This is my haul from the Good Guys weekend. I bought the Corvair and cop car at the show and the 2 custom kits and Caddy from my club meeting. That was a long Saturday I also scored a couple peices of hardware from Good Guys thanks to peoples vote only. I added them in the kit pic to show the detail. My first ones so I'm exited so please don't take it as bragging
Chuck Most Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Pretty nice for a parts kit, I'd say! Didn't know there was a 1:25 first-gen Z-car. I did fairly well- the following AMT kits- '65 El Camino (WITH the camper!), '77 Ford Courier, '94 GMC Sonoma, '95 Chevy Blazer, '08 Dodge Challenger (yep- finally decided to get one), and an MPC '78 Dodge Monaco. After the last haul, though, I think I'm pretty well set for winter!
DRG Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I don't buy kits very often, I have fifteen in stash but these were on sale.
RodneyBad Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 A LHS had a 20% sale and picked me up a Peerless Log Trailer. And off the Net, Fujimi VW Golf COX 420-Si
crazyjim Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Finally recieved the 2 hemi Dodge Dart kits I ordered in September from Hobbylinc.
Agent G Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I received copious amounts of overtime for working the holiday! G
Joe Handley Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I was buying a couple items needed for charging batteries at work today and figured I need to spend a little more money to justify using a check........so here's my justification Don't know when or if I'll get around to doing anything with it, but I figured I might was well get one while I could still get it
Greg Cullinan Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) My recent acquisitions, past week or two.. Amt customizing is a 62 Galaxie vert. Edited December 11, 2010 by Greg Cullinan
Sixx Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I just wanted to start what has been one of my favorite threads on airplane modeling forums. It’s not meant to brag or prove has the biggest modeling budget; I just like to see what other people are buying... Today I got the ‘50 Ford p/u with the Ardun flathead I’v been lusting over, a Caddy 354 parts pack motor, and some HOK “Burple†candy paint Casey I just got the AMT/Ertl John Deere backhoe...sealed for 40 bucks! On Evilbay! But I'm still waiting on my BMF that I ordered almost three weeks ago!!!!!????
