JamesW
finally set on a local hobby shop, he doesn't carry much but as soon as I asked "know anywhere I can get some styrene" his reply was "what do you need and I'll order it" so I plan to go back maybe next week after figuring out what I want to get and order some stuff. I'm also going to see if there are any kits he can order for me. They are VERY friendly and run an r/c track. Ironically the f150 came in after the last time I was there I was making a comment how I like truck models.. he ordered it along with a 55 ford. That's how my ONLY LHS is. If his suppliers have it, he'll order it for me. Although he doesn't deal with any kind of styrene other than sheets, and he hasn't had any of that in a while. Not really considered just an LHS though, (he carries kits and paint, no aftermarket) as he deals with everything from baby furniture to toys. Great guy though. crazyjim
On Sunday we bought a N scale steam engine and a couple of coal cars. We're going to build a train layout in the shop. Also picked up a '65 Chevelle kit at the train show.
Nick Winter
Stopped by Wally world to see about the kits, they didn't have them, so I took a quick walk down the diecast isle, they had this one on sale for $8.99. Thought it was kinda neat. Nick
crazyjim
You going to leave it as is, Nick, or build something out of it?
Nick Winter
Thinking of just detailing it a bit for now. Maybe down the road it may shed the fo mo co paint. Nick
hippie6
I stumbled upon some cool stuff the other day. A built firebird with some wierd 'gull wing' t-tops and some custom items (told it was maybe a barris custom version. Also bought 2 kits, AMT Che' Riviera and AMT Surf Rod. The surf rod box says build 1 of 4 ways and the Riv is a 3n1 with a screw chassis. Now I gotta find out what these are worth before I decide what I'm gonna do with 'em
