Deathgoblin Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 For my birthday, a couple of my dearest friends gave me a $20 gift certificate for a local hobby shop. I went there today and got a Revell 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8 and only paid about $2 out of pocket. It was a good birthday.
forthlin Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 My wife & I stopped at some rummages. This was at the first one we stopped at.

cobraman Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 I got a part time job at my local HobbyTown USA! I start Monday. Don't spend your whole check there !!! : )
Nick Winter Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Got a Sun burn and a Mopar T Shirt as a door prize, and well a new friend. Nick
2000-cvpi Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Don't spend your whole check there !!! : ) Heck, you're young, spend your entire check without leaving work. When you get older and married, you won't get to spend like that.
cobraman Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I'm both old and married ! And those my friend are words of wisdom.
Nick Winter Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Got a Sun burn and a Mopar T Shirt as a door prize, and well a new friend. Nick Thought pictures couldn't hurt, I also got a dash plaque that will find it's way to my Fury (I have a small bad spot on my dash pad). Not a bad time for my first ever solo show (I borrowed the Duster from a friend) Nick
AzTom Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I picked up a Lotus and a Ford Benetton Tamiya kit in 1/20 scale. Is anyone here familiar with these kit, mainly the engines. I would like to know if they could be used in a 30's hot rod and look right. Also got this but I'm sure I'll never build it.
kennb Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Went to a flea market in the twin cities yesterday and found a few goodies...There was a box of basically unpainted glue bombs for a buck each,,,,of course I got them all. The small white mustang is my first rebuild,,,,,,more on that later Also a 1/16th scale (compressed a little) 2007 mustang for 3 bucks,,,,, KennB
mrknowetall Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Does this count? It doesn't work well for model building.
kennb Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 you can always tack the bumpers on with it...........................
mrknowetall Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 (edited) I got an impact driver too, but I don't have a picture of it. The last, real modeling buy was the AKI vehicle weathering book. That'll probably be the first book actually taking up real estate on my modeling bench. Edited August 5, 2013 by mrknowetall

Did I miss it or how about some more photos .. like in 1:1 Reference? edit .. ah .. this is a borrowed car ... misread it .. but it still is a beautiful car. Edited August 7, 2013 by Foxer

Yes this beauty is my Fury's Previous owners new ride (he and I became best of friends shortly after I bought my car from him) and yes, it's as fast as it looks, I'd say how fast I had it moving but who knows who reads these boards, I don't need johnny law banging on my door.
Mike Kucaba Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I bought a new visor so I can see what I'm screwing up better. This one has more magnification options and a light!!
mrknowetall Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 DM piece. Cheap. Also fairly common, but I like it.
ChevyCoupe41 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Today I went to the local supermarket to buy some Revell semi gloss black paint. Well I bought that paint but also Revell '68 Dart.
