FordRodnKustom Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Been wanting one of these for a while, finally scored one for a decent price. and just got in a PowerSlide decal sheet for it
mustang1989 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Man it's been a looong time since I've seen that car. I remember watching him race in that car when I was a kid at my grandparents house. OMG!!! That's been over 32 years ago!!!!
unclescott58 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Man that camper looks like a great find Brad! Lots of opportunity for detail with that one!! Kevin: Lookin' forward to seeing the outcomes of those kits. I picked this up this morning off of Ebay for $75.00 to include shipping. These kits were rare in the fact that they were only made for one year in 1978 so they go for $150+ nowadays. I had one as a kid and always wanted a second shot at one. Looks like I've got one now.,,,,, A different set of wheels and tires, some cool 1/25 scale accessories and some Alclad here and there....... Would love to see a review on this one. An interesting looking kit.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Not much... The two Revell Ford Panels and the two S&H Torinos (one is with my sister for a birthday present) were each $14. All the rest was $40, and the GTO sans-custom parts is going to my sister, as well. Got some HW and MBX cars, too: Custom Chevy Luv, Coronet Superbee, Bone Shaker, Chevelle SS396, Porsche 934 RSRT, Chevy II, Supra, Fiat 500, and a Sedan DeVille.
Roadrunner Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Would love to see a review on this one. An interesting looking kit.Agreed.

Luckily I have a couple in the stash along with all the other versions of it. Last issued as the 70's Custom Van, minus all the off road goodies.
Roadrunner Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I recently purchased this kit specifically for the camper, as I intend to do a ’59 El Camino w/camper, just like the one I had as a kid, but the ’59 w/camper seems to be very difficult to find, and way too expensive when I do see them.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 (edited) I recently purchased this kit specifically for the camper, as I intend to do a ’59 El Camino w/camper, just like the one I had as a kid, but the ’59 w/camper seems to be very difficult to find, and way too expensive when I do see them. I got a box of parts with the stuff I got today. I think the camper for this is in it. Shoot me a message and we can dicker on it. *Well, this is actually just the cap from the Gear Hustler... if you're interested in it, though...* Edited November 23, 2015 by chunkypeanutbutter
mustang1989 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Man I hear ya on that Kevin. I saw one of those Mean Mudders goin' for $190!! Shoot, Jesse's got a couple of 'em!! Where'd you find those Jesse?
mustang1989 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 (edited) Looks like you've got your camper there Kevin..... Edited November 23, 2015 by mustang1989

Roadrunner Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Looks like you've got your camper there Kevin..... Wrong camper, but a nice thought, and I certainly appreciate it.
Roadrunner Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 OK, while ordering a Christmas present for a friend (the '68 Charger), I also went ahead and threw a '71 GTX in the box for me. Both arrived yesterday (from Model Roundup), and I'm quite pleased with their service.
mustang1989 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Cool score!!! I just got an older version of that GTX at the last model show I was at. Nice kits Kevin!!!
michaelbaskett Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Kudo's to Dave Metzner and the good folks at Moebius Models....A replacement cab for the 71 Ford Pickup from Moebius Models arrived in the mail yesterday....I purchased it from an online seller and found it was damaged upon opening the box....I spoke with Dave at the Detroit Show and he assured me their Customer Service would take good care of me....Now that's the way to do business ....
michaelbaskett Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Just now, I got issue #197 from the mail...From first glance, It's a winner....Also, I took the time to call Golden Bell Press and re-upped my sub for two more years....This is my Christmas present to me....Later....
Roadrunner Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Cool score!!! I just got an older version of that GTX at the last model show I was at. Nice kits Kevin!!!Thanks, Joe. I've always liked the look of the '71 body style, and I seriously like the '68 Charger, so I'll be grabbing one of those for myself as well. Next month I think it'll be the '59 El Camino, for one of my "grail" projects.

mk11 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 That's the only worthy shot I've seen so far mike
mustang1989 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I've seen this picture somewhere. Probably in my search for it. I'm currently gathering some AM items for it like a set of aluminum Centerlines and some 295/ 50's already. The ideas are running wild in my head right about now......
62pyro Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Not model related but,it is automotive inspired. Birthday present from my daughter.
Twokidsnosleep Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Looks Cool Pat Does it wash off in a week
62pyro Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Thanks. And, nope. I've been wanting this for about 5 years but, couldn't spare the cash.I was surprised when she handed me the money to get it.
