simonr Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 This one remembers me the excellent Cable show on Discovery HD Theater-"Wheeler Dealers", by the way, good deal. Simón P. Rivera Torres The birthday gift for my wife:
Greg Cullinan Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Did some ebaying and internet ordering this past few days. Here's the first installments, Both are sealed kits. And I found this is the garbage! I suppose it was a CD rack but I had something else in mind for it.
highway Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Good dumpster diving Greg!! Like the saying goes, "One man's trash is another man's treasure!!"
MyBradKeselowski Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Nothing too exciting A AOSHIMA NISSAN R35 GT-R w/motor. I thought one came with a pre-decorated/built engine? This is a great kit IMO!!
Zoom Zoom Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Got the Revell '66 Impala last night. Despite my reservations about body details/proportions that were in the photos, it really looks nice in person. I noticed the same thing w/the Nova; the little issues that weren't exactly like the real car or photos of the real vehicle really seem to disappear in person. Some may be beside themselves w/venom, I find myself pleasantly surprised. The one thing on the body I will try to rectify are the drip rails over the driver/passenger; they bow outwards slightly and can be easily fixed w/some block sanding and half round. Got notice tonight from Hobby Search that my preordered Fujimi Ferrari 458 Italia is in stock and ready to ship! YES!
Roadkill2525 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 I got a 2001 issue California Dune Buggy, Gundam Heavyarms Custom kit for parts, Mr. Color Gun Silver and Navy Blue, and some Plastistruc c-channel
Joe Handley Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 I picked up another Testors Charger kit, only the Daytona version at Hobby Lobby for $15.00
Greg Cullinan Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I guess it's better then being shipped in a manilla envelope! Did panick set in,thinking there wasn't anything in all that MPC 1968 Charger to rebuild Check out the overkill packing! Oh, and it took 2 days from Ebay win to my door. It's like Christmas in May!
Car Crazy 81 Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I'd recieved three model kits from member KENNEDYJR in the mail yesterday a AMT 62 Bel Air, Revell 67 Chevelle SS & a Revell 68 Dart GSS. It was like getting a Christmas gift in May.
whale392 Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 (edited) Another Monogram 1992 Mustang GT Convertible (I must really have a thing for FOX Mustangs...I want to build this as a Saleen SA10 clone; if I can convince any of our resin casters to cast me a set of STERN wheels [of which I have 3]), a can of Spaz-Stix Chrome, a can of Spaz-Stix Green-to-Gold, a can of Tamyia French Blue, and a can of Model Master Calypso Metallic Laquer (yes, this makes two cans of that color now). Almost forgot (actually I did, which is why this post is edited), a can of each Model Masters Fabric Red, Blue, and Black laquer. Edited May 28, 2010 by whale392
