DrKerry Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 This was built using the Mysterion front half of the chassis and both engines, along with the tail light center panel, Beatnik Bandit nose, and Lil' Coffin headers.
Sixties Sam Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Whoa! That's insane, but really cool! Very creative, and well done! Sam
TooOld Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Very cool ! Looks like it came right out of the 60's !
DrKerry Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 Thanks guys, I like the ol 60's style show rods and wanted to do one like them.
DumpyDan Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 WOW! This is cool, love the idea. Man this is far out, do you have a picture of the underneath would like to see?
DrKerry Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 Thought I did. I had to pinch the rear frame rails to mate up to the axle I put under it. It has a quick change under it. This is what I based it off of.
Jantrix Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Very impressive work. This looks like something designed by one of the great customizers of the past. I think Ed Roth and Tom Daniels would dig this.

Gluhead Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Pretty cool. I always love it when those projects pop up on the hamb. I remember following that Elkie over there while it was an active build. I've got two similar projects on the mental drawing board. Good stuff!
DrKerry Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 I too have been following it on the HAMB, I haven't looked in a couple months but I liked the look from the get go.
Austin T Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Mind + this elcamino = Blown Now I must buy a 1959 elcamino along with a Mysterion to try and build one of these. Not trying to copy you, just trying to be as cool as you.
DrKerry Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 LOL, thanks for the kind words Austin. Build away my friend, I don't ever mind anyone copying me, I get ideas from others and they get ideas from me. That's what this hobby is about. I consider it the greatest compliment when someone wants to build something like what I've done!!!!!
