martinfan5 Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Today Las Vegas Chevy finally show off what the new Chevy SS will look like when it takes to the track in 2013
bbowser Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 That is sweet. Between these and the new Fusions it ought to spice things up a little. Too bad Dodge is dropping out. Now who will be the first to tool up some new bodies?
martinfan5 Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 Now who will be the first to tool up some new bodies? Hopefully if the rumor is true, it will be Revell, I am hoping that is for sure
Skydime Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I like it but, I want to ask a question about NASCAR and cars. Im a die hard believer that cup cars should be based on two door cars. Now being that an SS is supposed to be a four door car, then why is the B Pillar so far back that if it were a street car there is no way someone could fit in and out the back seat?

You have to remember that the race version has been changed a little bit from the street version
Rob Hall Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Sharp... Looking forward to the street version also..
Skydime Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 (edited) You have to remember that the race version has been changed a little bit from the street version Yeah, 'nothin stock about a stock car' anymore. Edited November 30, 2012 by Skydime
martinfan5 Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 Yeah, 'nothin stock about a stock car' anymore. Very ture, but that is changing with new Gen 6 Cup cars, the body panels on the race , well most of them, will match the street cars, so getting a little bit back to stock car
Snakebite Customs Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 tailights look like there from an early maxima. Other than that its ok
W-409 Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Is it true that there would be a NASCAR Racer made from new Chevy Camaro? I read it somewhere, but I'm not sure if it's true or not? Maybe someone in here knows better? That looks quite mean to me. Hopefully someone Is releasing a kit, Diecast, prepainted or anything model-related of these new cars.

The Nationwide series is going to run Camaro decals, but the body is not really shaped like the Camaro , its close , but still the basic Nationwide series body style

Who even makes 2 doors anymore? The Mustangs and Challengers in Nationwide, but nowadays the only things with 2 doors are trucks. And a lot of those have 4 doors!
hooterville75 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 No splitters or am I missing and not seeing something ? Dont like them myself, so Id be good without them at all
martinfan5 Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 As of now, I do believe the splitter is gone, there is a small lip spoiler
hooterville75 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Thumbs up I believe the splitter did more damage then good most of the time. Just my opinion.
Scott - Elm City Hobbies Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Splitter has been gone since the end of the 2011 season
martinfan5 Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Splitter has been gone since the end of the 2011 season Nope, its been there on the 2012 cars as well, but the new nose covers most of it up
KingSix Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 It really is a shame Dodge dropped out, but hopefully they'll be back in 2014, that's the rumor anyway ..
Draggon Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Thank goodness the splitter and wings are gone. Was sorta icky, like seeing your mother-in-law wear a miniskirt. Like the SS, the Fusion even more.
