Mister Twister Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 A mix of AMT and Revell kits with a heavily modified Revell chassis pan. It has many parts box pieces (as most of my builds do) with a combo of various decals from different sheets and MM paints and clear. Thanks for looking in!
James2 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Well done. I know there was a lot of scratch building, modifying and test fit'n go'n on in there.
W-409 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 At the start or end of a Drag Strip, this would look like 1:1. That is very nice combo of kitbashing/Scratchbuilding there, you did nice job, looks like factory made.
dimebolt Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Great job Mister Twister. That thing looks killer. Corey
futurattraction Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) Those cars (in 1:1) would have been a real handful to drive, with the short wheelbase. You did a superb job in building this one, Darryl. Edited December 11, 2012 by futurattraction

fastram Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Very nice build! What chassis did you use under it, or what chassis was it when you started?
mikemopar70 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Wonderful!! Your Daytona is awesome, all of the details make it a stand out model.. Congratulations...
Mooneyzs Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Darryl.... another awesome build man. your builds always have killer detail. nice work man!
Mister Twister Posted December 21, 2012 Author Posted December 21, 2012 Very nice build! What chassis did you use under it, or what chassis was it when you started? Thanks to all for the great comments. The chassis is a much modified Revell Pro Sportsman chassis from the '55 kit. it has been shortened, narrowed and so on with a scratchbuilt cage. Thanks again guys!
