Well I got most of the coupe done then noticed a slight over sight on the back of the body. I wouldn't have made the 1st but seeings how the deadline has been moved to the 2nd it will give me 24 more hours of panic time so I just might pull it off now. We'll see.

An extra 48 hours is exactly what I need too. I've been pushing like crazy the last 2 weeks trying to finish this Datsun and made a few mistakes along the way. And I just keep running into problems....

Sorrry to hear that Nick but the extra time is needed here as the paint turned blue as it dried so plus there

Doing some research on the car after the guys drug it to the shop turns out the car is an uber rare motion performance

tuned car few tell tale signs left like the fuel pumps and ignition system hich still works good and the elusive 3 bbl carb

and valve covers , though that stuff is there it also is packing forced induction

we did change out the 4:88 gears for 3:55 set so we will cruise low and fast

I'm officially calling it quits with the Monaco. It's still in primer, i'm getting a cold,and my airbrush needs $50 worth of parts to work. So i'm out this year . I'll be back next year- and hopefully make it to the starting line!

I've spent the last 2 days trying to get the fit of the flip nose better but its just not gonna happen, I'll have to live with the 3/16" gap between the doors and fenders......Ya gotta love old MPC kits.

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for participating in this years Cannonball Run CBP, you enthusiam and effort is greatly appreciated, I hope that we see you all back again next year.

There were many exceptional models this year and I'm very proud to have hosted the CBP this year, I'm sure next year will be even better!

So, this years standings go as follows;

We had a total of 51 Entires!

And as of last count, as we have reached the deadline, we have 23 Finished models!

So again thank you everyone.

I will open multiple poll topics in Underglass (I believe they limit the amount of questions/options) and there will be prizes for the top 3!

Old MPC kits with flip noses aren't know for their great fit, this one was no exception. Over the last 4 days I tried everything to get the nose to fit right....or even better. Nothing seemed to work. I really can't complain about the rest of the kit as everything else went together without any problems. Now the plan is to have all of your cars impounded before the race begins, giving me a 3 state head start. Great builds by everyone, I'll see you guys when you get to California......
