Zandmann Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Ok... as they say: It ain't over till the fat lady sings and obviously she hasn't sung yet.
Scale-Master Posted March 26, 2015 Author Posted March 26, 2015 I heard a squeak, have to make something to take care of it…
cobraman Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 The model box and the maps are a nice touch. Can't imagine what it must feel like to finish such a huge project as this. It is finished , right ? : )
Scale-Master Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 The car is finished. But I've been getting these ideas for extra goodies to add to it. Maybe I'm suffering from some sort of withdrawal and that's why I keep tinkering with the goodies?
LaughingIndian Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Not to be an antagonist but I think it could use a couple of French fries and and old McDonalds receipt under the seats ... Just sayin.
Pete J. Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 (edited) If you are going to do the McDonalds drive through, you should add some mouse dropping to go along with it. Edited March 28, 2015 by Pete J.
Mooneyzs Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Mark... Awesome job on this build. It turned out great. Thank you for sharing with us. I am looking forward to seeing this in person at the GSL.
Scale-Master Posted March 28, 2015 Author Posted March 28, 2015 Thanks guys. No errant fries in this one, or any of my real cars. Maybe some brake fluid though...?
Pete J. Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Thanks guys. No errant fries in this one, or any of my real cars. Maybe some brake fluid though...? Or perhaps a quart or two of Mobil 1 synthetic, a rag and funnel? How about some Armor All for the tires and vinyl?
Scale-Master Posted March 28, 2015 Author Posted March 28, 2015 I like the funnel idea Pete. I already have a dirty red rag stuffed into the spare wheel. Not an Armor All fan, but a quart of oil in a modern plastic bottle ought to be fun...
Scale-Master Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 As if I need any encouragement to keep making trinkets... (Pete!) I always keep a quart in the trunk of my Camaro… It was in the back of my mind to make this, but I'm blaming Pete J. for fast tracking it.
Scale-Master Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 I added the recessed areas for the labels and the ribbing on the side of the bottle.
LaughingIndian Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 If someone ever tries to sell you what they call a "wide-screen high-definition TV" don't buy it. It would do the rest of us a disservice.
gtx6970 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I casually followed along on the build. And enjoyed the ride I am simply in awe for you guys that can do this kind of fabricating work. Well done is an understatment

Mooneyzs Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Mark... I wanted to say it was a pleasure meeting you at the GSL and seeing this beauty of a build in person. IT definitely deserved all the awards it took home. I also enjoyed chatting with you. I can't wait to see what your next big build will be.

Scale-Master Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 Yes, actually as mentioned at the start of this thread, this is the 7th 1/12 Seven I've made. Plus several other 1/24 and 1/64 versions. I think I have made 15 so far in various scales. Maybe 16... or 17...
