Ron35369 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) I did this one about 15 years ago. It started out as a Johan Excel promo with sealed hood, no interior & a flat plate for a chassis. I cut open the hood & added the chassis, engine & interior from a 68 Roadrunner kit. Hope you enjoy. Edited January 10, 2013 by Ron35369
Tonioseven Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 That would make a really cool 1:1 street machine!! Terrific work!!
Ron35369 Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 Sorry about that...I duplicated a photo & left this one out.
Bartster Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I really dig this ! '60s Mopars are in my blood & on my workbench lately. Crazy paint, hemi, mag 500s ! All nice touches to bring this up-to-date. Beautiful work ! Bart
Ron35369 Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 Thanks guys...I too love the look of those Magnum 500 rims. They scream "Muscle"
chaotle80 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 You did an excellent job on the Dodge, good color choice, nice details.
Albie D Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Wow, what a nice one. Youve got a very impressive stable of builds. Do you sleep? lol
gtx6970 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I really like what you did with this one.. The body lines just scream Virgil Exner and I love it I just did one of these as a ramchargers car and it's probaly one of my favorite builds to date.
slusher Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 That is awsume, and very well done. love it...
crazyjim Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Very cool in my favorite color and so SHINY :)
W-409 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Very Nice! I've seen one of these in person, and after that I appreciate your work even more. It's not easy to convert a Promo to this nice model! Like the look of those wheels and tires on this one, those match perfectly with the paint and engine choice. Overall fantastic build, only those headlights would be bit more realistic since now they look chromed to me, but that's very small thing.
bogger44 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 That is awesome, nice work on the kitbashing. Plum and White always make for a great color combo, and the Magnum's are the cherry on top. Congrats, and thanks for sharing.
TFchronos Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Wow, that thing is beautiful, very nice job.
bbowser Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Great work, very clean and nice foiling. I like it a lot!
realgone58 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Wow, I'm loving all these "forward look" Mopars lately. Not crazy about the magnums and tires on it, to me these things just scream for wide whites, but man, it's one sweet build. The kitbashing came out fantastic. Very nice.
Ron35369 Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Thank you for so many great comments. I am especially proud of how this build turned out. There are times when I surprise myself.
Harry P. Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Sorry about that...I duplicated a photo & left this one out. That's the shot right there...
